Rahul Ajay Tripathi was born in Ranchi, Jharkhand on 2 March 1991. And he's known for domestic and IPL cricket.

Since 2010, Rahul has played domestic cricket for the Maharashtra team. In 2017, he was picked to play in the IPL for the first time.

Rahul's father played college and junior cricket in Uttar Pradesh. His sibling also plays well. Rupali Tripathi, Rahul's sister, plays college basketball. His father is an Indian Army colonel.

He graduated from SP college with a BSc in mathematics and did it well. Also, he has loved cricket since he was a very young boy.

The transfer of his father to Pune aided his enrollment at one of the oldest cricket academies, Deccan Gymkhana.

Rising Pune Supergiant hired him for the 10th edition of IPL based on how well he did in first-class cricket.

In June 2022, he participated in India's T20I team against Ireland. Tripathi was picked into India's ODI team for the Zimbabwe series the following month.
