The Chittar River flows through this picture-perfect spot near the Western Ghats, so it's no surprise that many people come here to take vacations.

It is one of Tamil Nadu's most prominent waterfalls and a popular destination in Tenkasi. Courtallam's nickname is "Spa of South."
