YouTube's new CEO is Indian-American Neal Mohan. Neal, a longtime Google and YouTube employee, succeeds Susan Wojcicki, who has led the company since 2014.
Neal has a degree in electrical engineering from Stanford and now joins an elite group of CEOs of US-based global giants who are from India.
These CEOs include Alphabet's Sundar Pichai, Adobe's Shantanu Narayen, and Microsoft's Satya Nadella.
Neal Mohan started working for Google in 2008, and in 2015 he was promoted to the role of Chief Product Officer for YouTube.
He has also worked for Microsoft and is on the board of directors for the companies Stitch Fix and 23andMe, which is in the fields of genomics and biotechnology.
He worked for almost eight years as the senior vice president of display and video advertising at Google.
He built a great product and UX team and helped launch YouTube TV, YouTube Music, Premium, and Shorts.
