Dada, also known as Pradeep Sarkar, is an Indian writer and filmmaker who works mainly in the Hindi cinema industry.
Having 17 years of experience as a creative director in mainstream advertising, Pradeep later began directing commercial films.
Pradeep was born on April 30, 1955, to a Bengali family. Due to a fever, Pradeep Sarkar passed away on March 24, 2023 at the Lilavati hospital in Mumbai.
Pradeep Sarkar is wed to Panchali Sarkar, and they have two children, Ronit and Roya. Ronit is a background vocalist, while Raya is an artist.
Pradeep studied at the St. Andrews School in Kolkata. Afterward, Pradeep Sarkar enrolled at Delhi College of Art, from which he graduated in 1979 with a gold medal.
