Amreli, formerly Amravaali, is a tiny village on the Kathiawar peninsula near the Arabian Sea. Its heritage and culture are well known.

In the Gujarat district of Amreli, in the village of Pipavav, there is a port called Pipavav. This port is linked to the village of Shiyalbet, which is near the Arabian Sea.
