Indian-American Vivek Ramaswamy: US Presidential Candidate For 2024!

In an interview on February 22, 2023, Vivek said that he would contest for US Presidential race in the November 2024.

With his candidature, Vivek becomes the second Indian-American to enter the Republican presidential campaign, following Nikki Haley.

He started the biopharmaceutical company Roivant Sciences and was a co-founder and Executive Chairman of the investment firm Strive Asset Management.

Vivek was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 9, 1985. In search of the American dream, Vivek's parents left Palakkad, Kerala, India.

Ganapathy Ramaswamy, a General Electric engineer, and Geeta, a Mysore Medical College graduate and Cincinnati geriatric psychiatrist, were his parents.

Vivek's wife Apoorva Tewari is an Assistant Professor and throat surgeon at Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center. Columbus-based Vivek and Apporva have two sons.

He obtained a Summa Cum Laude biology degree from Harvard University. Vivek graduated from Yale Law School's Juris Doctor Program with a "Doctor of Law" degree.

Vivek strongly opposes utilising others' money to promote environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, whether BlackRock or a pension fund.

He has been on the board of directors of The Philanthropy Roundtable, a non-profit group that helps conservative philanthropists.
