Deepika Padukone And Hrithik Roshan Start ‘Fighter’s’ Final Big Schedule

Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, and Anil Kapoor have already begun acting in the final major schedule of ‘Fighter’, the Hindi movie directed by Siddharth Anand. The shooting is currently taking place at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai.
In the next 15 days, the filming of the dramatic scenes will be carried out in the backdrop of Indian Air Force bases and offices. The crew had earlier completed filming the climax scene of the movie in April which lasted for a month.
The Fighter is touted as India’s first aerial action movie. Apart from being the director, Siddharth is also the co-writer along with Ramon Chibb and Abbas Dalal. Both Hrithik, as well as Deepika, will be portraying the characters of Indian Air Force pilots in the movie.
As per sources, a set has been built at the Andheri studio to replicate the air force base. Earlier, the exterior sequences of the movie has been shot at Tezpur Air Force Station in Assam and the Indian Force Academy in Dundigal, 43 Km from Hyderabad.
Sources reveal that the current schedule majorly consists of interior shots and talkie portions. In line with the Director of Photography Satchith Paulose’s requirement, production designer Rajat Poddarr and his team have built a vast set of the interiors of the air force base, offices, and classrooms.
According to sources, the shooting of the latest schedule began on Sunday. Apart from the lead actors, Karan Singh Grover will also be shooting their respective portions separately for the next fortnight.
The Fighter is the next project from Siddharth Anand after Pathaan, a blockbuster that went on to collect a massive Rs 1000 crore in the international markets and Rs 500 crore in the domestic markets. In the past, Siddharth has made many hit movies such as Bachna Ae Haseeno, Bang Bang, and War. The movie Fighters was announced on 10 January 2021.
Once the current schedule of Fighter is over, Hrithik and Deepika Padukone will be working on the dance sequences as part of shooting the two songs. Siddharth Anand has allocated nearly five days for the dance numbers and it will be followed by a five-day shooting schedule in Mumbai.
As per the plans, in October, the director will be shooting more sequences inside the interiors of a fighter plane that involves the application of VFX. The post-production work will also happen simultaneously. In order to wrap up the shoot by November, Siddharth is working at a rapid pace. If all goes well, the film will be hitting the theatres on January 25th, 2024.
Though the makers of Fighters had earlier planned a theatrical release on 30 September 2022, the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic played spoilsport and led to indefinite production delays.
Last November, Hrithik was spotted along with Anil Kapoor at Air Force Station, Tezpur in Assam in connection with the filming of the movie. Apart from Assam and Mumbai, the movie has also been shot in Hyderabad and Jammu & Kashmir.
