The caves of Edakkal are located in the hills of Ambukuthi which is situated at a distance of 25 Kilometres away from Kalpetta the district’s headquarters.

By Air: Wayanad is a hilly area and possesses no Airports yet the district beneath it is Calicut and the Calicut International Airport is only around 100 Kilometres away. Hire a taxi or choose State-run buses like the KSRTC to reach here quickly and easily.

By Train: The closest railways lie at Calicut. The Kozhikode Railway Station has trains running regularly connecting several major cities in the country. Buses, Taxis, and other vehicles are available and you can choose what’s best for you to reach Wayanad and the caves.
