Pariva Pranati was born on 18th March 1983 to Prabhat Sinha, a former officer with Indian Air Force who is now retired, and Sushma Sinha. The actress also has a brother Pratiyush Sinha.

Pariva did her schooling at the Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute. Later, the actress joined Lady Shree Ram College in Delhi and completed her graduation in History with Honours.

Relationships

Pariva met Puneet Sachdev, an actor for the first time during the shooting of the soap opera ‘Bhabhi’. Soon, they both became friends and eventually their friendship blossomed into love.

Pariva Pranati made her acting debut in 2005 with the television serial Hotel Kingston’s telecast on Star One channel. It was followed by serials such as Bhabhi, Don, Ssshhhh… Phir Koi Hai, Virrudh and Tujko Hai Salaam Zindgi.

In 2009, Pariva Pranati entered the Hindi film industry with ‘Vaada Raha’, directed by Samir Karnik. She played the character of Rosy in the movie. Two years later, in 2011, Pariva appeared in the role of Priyanka Khanna in the Nikhil Singh-directed movie ‘With Love, Delhi!’. The following year she acted in ‘Talaash: The Answer Lies Within’ and portrayed the character of Soniya Kapoor.

Later, Pariva played several notable roles such as Trishna Kohli in Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah, Sumidha in Armanon Ka Balidaan – Aarakshan, Susheela Binoychandra Majumdar in Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum, Kavita in Savdhaan India, Neena Rudra Pratap Singh in Ishq Kills and Amrita in Hamari Sister Didi. She also appeared as a contestant in ‘Box Cricket League 2’, a sports reality television show. 

After acting in the serial ‘Khidki’ in 2016, Pariva took a long break of five years from acting as she became pregnant. Later, in 2021, the actress staged a strong comeback with the serial ‘Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey telecast on the channel Sony SAB. She portrayed the character of Vandana Rajesh Wagle in the serial. For her performance in Wagle Ki Duniya, Pariva won the Best Actress – Comedy TV award at the 21st Indian Television Academy Awards held in 2022.

  • The actress is an animal lover and she has always loved animals since her early days. Pariva also rescues animals starting from a squirrel to a bird. Nowadays, she goes out at night at 11 o’clock daily and feeds as many strays as she can.
  • Pariva’s husband Puneet was away from television for almost three years as he didn’t get any exciting offers. According to Puneet, nowadays actors are cast in serials based on their follower count on social media platforms. The actor added that he can’t act or sing on social media for boosting views.
  • Pariva kept the news of her pregnancy a secret affair. During the time of her pregnancy, the actress traveled to many wildlife sanctuaries along with her husband. Thus, others had no clue that she had conceived.
  • The actress studied in a girls’ college and during those days she used to spend Valentine’s Day with her gang of girls. Later, even after being in a relationship with Puneet, Pariva never put an effort to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The actor couple just used to hang out, go to movies and spend time with each other.
