Atul Khatri’s other prestigious achievements include winning the ‘CEO’s Got Talent Season 1’ and being the only Indian to perform in the Hong Kong International Comedy Festival held in September 2014.

Atul Khatri Family
Atul Khatri was born on 10th January 1968 and belongs to a Sindhi family. His father’s name is Naraindas Khatri and his mother’s name is Kunti Khatri who hails from Karachi. Atul also has two sisters, Dr. Anjali Chhabri, a leading psychiatrist, and Aruna Khatri.
Atul is married to Shaguna Khatri, a hairstylist by profession and the couple has two daughters. Mishti Khatri, the elder one, is a sports nutritionist and a personal trainer. The younger daughter Diya Khatri is a psychologist.

Controversies
In September 2022, Atul took a dig at Bollywood film director Vivek Agnihotri on Twitter and it led to a verbal duel between the two on the microblogging platform. Following the public protest demanding a boycott of ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’, a Hindi movie, it was Atul who first stirred controversy.
The comedian tweeted that if the movie is renamed Brahmastra Files, all the Bhakts will watch it. In response to his tweet, Vivek gave a fitting reply that Atul should consider changing his name to Atul Santri so that he will get employment.
In November 2022, Mumbai Police made it mandatory for all car passengers to wear seat belts failing which they will be penalized. Subsequently, Atul posted a photo on Twitter with the photograph of a model wearing a yellow tee shirt with the image of a seat belt printed on it.
His post was followed by a sarcastic caption requesting all Mumbaikars to wear the seatbelt or else to wear the t-shirt he posted on Twitter. To the comedian’s tweet, Mumbai police replied in time that they will stock those t-shirts for him, along with their challans. They went on to state that safety is never a joke.

After completing his college education, Atul joined Kaytek Computer Services Private Limited, a software company run by his family. Back then, he assumed the role of the Chief Executive Officer of that organization.
In 2011, when he was 43 years of age, Atul became a comedian while still being part of his family business. It was monotony and his wife’s encouragement that made Atul choose an alternate career. Though his initial plan was to take up a course and become a bartender and then later a disc jockey, he didn’t venture into either of the fields.
Atul took his baby steps in comedy by posting jokes on Facebook and later became a stand-up comedian. - He is a diehard fan of Mehmood, the renowned comedian of Bollywood. One of Atul’s all-time favorite Hindi movies is Mehmood’s Bombay to Goa and he feels the real hero in that movie was not Amitabh Bachchan, but Mehmood who portrayed the role of a bus conductor.
- According to Atul, his elder daughter Mishti Khatri is very much like him. The choices of both of them are quite similar and the comedian attributes that to the fact that both of them are Capricornians.
- His wife Shaguna loves to bake. Atul says that he has always been the scapegoat of her baking experiments. He went on to state that whenever she gives some dish to him to try out, he says that it tastes amazing.
- During the time when the Covid-19 pandemic was at its peak, it was mandatory to show the vaccination certificate while traveling. Atul got fed up with showing the certificate at every checkpoint. Thus, he printed the vaccination certificate on his t-shirt and it had gone viral.
