Viewing Deck In Dadar Explore Mumbai's New Tourist Destination!

In the Indian state of Maharashtra, Dadar is one of the most populated neighborhoods located in the state’s capital Mumbai. The area holds a viewing deck which in fact is a very popular destination and sees a lot of visitors. The deck offers views of the city’s sky and its popularity rose due to its rejuvenating views. It is now a visiting spot for not just newcomers or tourists but also the locals as well. It’s a must-visit destination for sight seekers.

Location 

The viewing deck is located in the West of the Dadar neighborhood and near Chaityabhoomi, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Smarak. It is renamed as Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Smruti viewing deck (Mata Ramabai was the wife of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar). The place is at a prime spot meaning it is accessible and very convenient to visit and reach. It could be accessible with any mode of transportation due to the fact that Mumbai is one of the major cities in India.  

About the Viewing Deck 

The Viewing Deck is a multi-level observation deck that gifts its visitors beautiful views of its city’s sky and is suitable for people who are Nature lovers, Photographers, and wants to enjoy scenes and the sky. It’s the perfect place for one to relax and calm one’s mind. You can sit there or have a stroll depending on what makes you feel better.

Shopping at Viewing Deck in Dadar

The Viewing Deck in Dardar is known for its shopping area aside from the usual sightseeing or relaxing. The place is dedicated to tourists who can shop for souvenirs and several local items which include stores to shop for clothing, accessories, and other cool items. The place is ideal for getting simple and cheap amazing gifts for friends and family.

Just visiting the deck and planning your return sounds boring. To make the best out of your trip here are some nearby places which are also accessible and worth the time and visit.

Mahim Beach

This beach is not a likely destination for visitors as it isn’t popular among them. Having brown sand, the beach is not so big compared to any other beaches in the region. Located pretty close to the viewing deck.

A kind reminder that the waters aren’t clear enough for activities or swimming and it is just a place offering a view of the sunset and good enough for a stroll in the evening or early morning. Mahim Fort an ancient fort built by the Portuguese is also nearby if you’d like to visit.

This park is a hub for people who wants to walk or jog while enjoying the glorious views of the park. It is also one of the most favorable locations for tourists.

Mahim Fort

The Viewing deck and Mahim Beach close by the Mahim Fort makes it a perfect treble for tourist as they can visit these three places at once without putting extra effort into Traveling, long journeys, etc. This fort dates back to ancient times and curious history freaks would love a visit here for a few hours.

Dating back to the 16th century it was constructed by the Portuguese to prevent attacks from the Marathas (The Maratha Empire who used to rule the state). The fort is in its ruins yet the few remnants of the original structure are visitable.

Best Time to Visit Viewing Deck

Winter is the best time to visit Mumbai and the viewing deck which starts in November and ends around February. The weather is said to be comfortable at this time and the views are clear. While looking for the best tie to visit be sure to know when not to visit. The monsoon months belong to this category as the deck might be closed due to heavy rains and it ranges from the period of June to September.

How To Reach Viewing Deck in Dadar 

Mumbai is considered is one of the major capitals in India, hence all modes of transportation like Air, Rail, or road are easily available. The Deck is near a famous Portuguese church in Dadar and only a walking distance from the station. Hiring a taxi or renting a vehicle of your choice depending on visiting and viewing the place at your own pace. Indian railways are one of the largest and it connects to every major city or state in the country same goes for Air and by road,
