Ishita Dutta Sheth is an Indian film and television actress and model. She works primarily in Hindi movies and television serials. Ishita made her acting debut with the 2012 Telugu film ‘Chanakyudu’.

Ishita Dutta Family
Ishita Dutta was born on 26th August 1990 to Tapan Dutta, an ex-employee with Life Insurance Corporation of India, and Shikha Dutta, a housewife. The actress also has an elder sister, Tanushree Dutta who is a renowned Bollywood actress.

Relationships
Ishita met actor Vatsal Sheth for the first time in 2016 during the shooting of the serial ‘Rishton Ka Saudagar – Baazigar’. Soon, the actor couple became friends, and even after the shooting of the show got over, they still kept in touch with each other.
Gradually love blossomed between the two and they started dating. Finally, Ishita tied the knot with Vatsal on 28th November 2017. Ishita gave birth to a baby boy on 19th July 2023.

Ishita did her schooling at D.B.M.S. English School in Jamshedpur. Later, the actress pursued her media studies in Mumbai.
Controversies
In 2019, Ishita’s sister Tanushree Dutta lashed out at Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn for casting actor Aloknath, a rape accused in his film. According to Tanushree, Ajay could have reshot Aloknath’s scenes in the movie De De Pyaar De’ after writer Vinta Nanda’s sexual allegation against the actor came out.
While commenting on the controversy, Ishita said that the situation could land her in a precarious situation and stated that what is right is right. The actress also opined that her sister is supporting the truth.
However, Ishita said that her equation with Ajay was separate and it has no connection with Tanushree’s stand on the matter. Ishita also added that she doesn’t think that Ajay will be upset or angry with her for her sister’s statement.

Ishita kickstarted her acting career in 2012 by playing the character of Swapna in ‘Chanakyudu’, a Telugu movie. In the same year, she appeared in the Kannada film ‘Yenidu Manasali’.
The turning point in Ishita’s career was acting in the crime thriller movie ‘Drishyam’ in 2015. She portrayed the role of Anju Salgaonkar and soon the actress became popular among the movie-watching audience. In the following years, Ishita appeared in several Hindi films such as Firangi, Lashtam Pashtam, Setters, Blank, Kahaa Toh Tha, and Drishyam 2.
Ashita’s first appearance on television was on ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’, a Hindi serial broadcast on StarPlus. In the subsequent years, she acted in many television serials such as Rishton Ka Saudagar – Baazigar, Kaun Hai? – Ek Naya Adhyay, Bepanah Pyaar and Thoda sa Baadal Thoda sa Paani. Ishita also made a guest appearance in the dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye 6’, Bigg Boss 13, Khatra Khatra Khatra, and Sirf Tum.
Apart from acting in films and television serials, Ishita also featured in a couple of music videos. In 2020, she appeared in Soham Naik’s Rehne Do Zara and Vishal Mishra’s Kithe.
