Meera Nandakumar, popularly known as Meera Nandan is an Indian actress and radio jockey who works predominantly in Malayalam films. She started her career as a television anchor and later made her acting debut with the 2008 movie ‘Mulla’.
Subsequently, Meera went on to act in several hit films in Malayalam including Puthiya Mukham, Elsamma Enna Aankutty, Seniors, and Mallu Singh. Apart from Malayalam, she has also acted in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films. Meera moved to Dubai in 2014 and is currently working as a radio jockey with Gold 101.3 FM in Ajman.

Meera Nandan Family
Meera was born on 26 November 1990 to Nandakumar and Maya. The actress has a brother Arjun Nandakumar who is also an actor.

Meera once wrote on Instagram that she had fallen in love in the past and went through heartbreaks. However, the actress didn’t disclose the name of her lover.

Meera started her career by appearing in a commercial for Mohanlal’s Taste Buds. Later, in 2007, she attended the auditions of ‘Idea Star Singer’, a singing reality show aired on Asianet. Though Meera wanted to join as a contestant, she was instead roped in as the anchor of the show. Later, she went on to host programs on Amrita TV and Jeevan TV also.
In 2008, Meera made her acting debut with the Lal Jose-directed film ‘Mulla’. She was cast opposite Dileep in the film. For her performance in Mulla, Meera won Filmfare’s Best Female Debut award. The following year, Meera forayed into Tamil with ‘Valmiki’, a movie directed by G. Anantha Narayanan. Subsequently, she appeared in a few Tamil films such as Kadhalukku Maranamillai, Ayyanar, and Sooriya Nagaram.
The actress made her debut in the Telugu industry with the 2011 film ‘Jai Bolo Telangana’. In 2014, she entered Kannada with the film ‘Karoodpathi’. Later, Meera portrayed several notable characters in Malayalam such as Sreedvi in ‘Puthiya Mukham’, Lakshmi, the antagonist in ‘Seniors’ and the journalist in ‘Lokpal’.
Apart from films, Meera has also been featured in several music albums such as Pranayathin Jalakam, Mookambika, Devi Mahatmyam, Doore Doore, and Zara Zara-sung by herself.
In 2014, Meera moved to Dubai and joined as a Radio Jockey with Radio Red 94.7 FM. Currently, she is working as an RJ with Gold 101.3 FM in Ajman.
After 2017, Meera took a break from films and stayed away from acting. However, she made a comeback in 2023 by playing the role of Jesna in the Bash Mohammed-directed film ‘Ennalum Ente Aliya’.
