Mehr Jesia is an Indian model and the title winner of the Femina Miss India Universe beauty pageant in 1986. She also represented the country at Miss Universe 1986 competition held in Panama.
Mehr Jesia belonged to the first generation of Indian supermodels and has endorsed several leading brands such as Palmolive, Lakme, Nivea, and Philips. She has also been featured on the covers of acclaimed magazines such as Vogue, Femina, and Bazaar.

Mehr Jesia Family
Mehr was born on 30 November 1968 in a Parsi family. Her father Late Homi Jesia was an employee with Air India and also a former model and Mr.India. Mehr’s mother Vera Jesia also worked with Air India as an air hostess.

The model also has an elder sister Avan Jesia who works as a writer and a teacher. Mehr grew up in a Parsi Colony in Dadar, Mumbai.
Relationships
Mehr met Arjun Rampal, a model during their modeling days. Soon love blossomed between the couple and Mehr started dating Arjun who was two years younger than her. Finally, in 1998, the 28-year-old Mehr tied the knot with Arjun. Later, the model gave birth to two daughters, Myra and Mahikaa.
After 20 years of marital journey, in 2018, Mehr and Jesia announced that they are parting ways. During that time rumors were rife that it was Arjun’s closeness with Sussanne Khan, the ex-wife of Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan that caused a rift in their relationship.
On April 30th, 2019, a Mumbai court granted divorce to Mehr and Arjun and it was announced that their two children will stay with Mehr at their duplex in Bandra, Mumbai.
Education
Mehr did her schooling at the J. B. Vachha High School in Mumbai. Later, the model joined Sophia College for Women, Mumbai to pursue her further studies. However, due to a lack of attendance, Mehr dropped out of college.
Controversies
After quitting modeling, in the ’90s Mehr established a modeling agency by the name ‘Face One’. However, after operating for four years, she later shut down the agency. In 2010, Mehr came to know that a guy was using hers and Arjun’snamese and signing models for ‘Face One’.
When asked whether she was planning to take any legal action against the impostor, Mehr replied that she don’t have the time to do that. She also made it clear that Arjun and herself do not run any modeling agency.

In 1986, Mehr made her entry into the modeling industry. It was photographer Faroukh Jussawalla who suggested the 17-year-old Mehr try her luck in the Femina-Bombay Dyeing Miss India pageant.
Out of the 16 finalists shortlisted from 300 entries, Mehr finally emerged as the title winner and she was crowned by Maureen Wadia. Later, Mehr went on to represent India at the Miss Universe contest held in Panama.
With the Miss India title win, Mehr landed her first advertisement campaign with Lakme. It was followed by endorsements for top-notch brands such as Vimal, Bombay Dyeing, OCM, Nive, a, and Palmolive. Mehr soon joined the first generation of Indian supermodels like Madhu Sapre, Shyamolie Verm, and Feroze Gujral.
At the peak of her career, Mehr retired and floated the modeling agency ‘Face One’ which was later shut down. Mehr also established the production house Chasing Ganesha Films along with her husband Arjun. they produced the first film ‘I See You’ under the banner in 2006. In 2019, Mehr launched a wedding planning company in association with Red Box Productions.
