Prajwal Devaraj is an Indian actor who primarily works in Kannada movies. Hailing from an actor family, Prajwal made his acting debut in 2016 with the Kannada film ‘Sixer’.
For his first movie, he went on to win the Best Debut Actor award at the Suvarna Film Awards. The other notable works from Prajwal include Gentleman, Gulama, and Chowka.

Prajwal Devaraj Family
Prajwal was born on 4th July 1987 to Kannada actor Devaraj and Chandralekha, a former actress. Prajwal also has a younger brother Pranam, who is also an actor.

Relationships
Prajwal Devaraj is married to Ragini Chandran, a dancer and fitness enthusiast since 2015. Though the couple know each other since school days, a relationship developed between the two years later as they happened to be in the same dance class conducted by choreographer Imran Sardhariya.
It was a natural progression from being friends to getting married and Prajwal once revealed that neither of them ever came up with a fancy proposal.

Prajwal did his BBA from Jain University’s Center for Management Studies in Bangalore.
Controversies
In 2017, Prajwal’s name also surfaced in connection with the accident case of Geetha Vishnu, the grandson of late liquor baron Audikesavul. Reportedly, the accused was driving a Mercedez Benz SUV under the influence of alcohol and drugs and the vehicle rammed into a Maruti Omni.
Following the incident, the cops issued notices to eight people including Pranam, Vishnu’s brother. Though Prajwal’s name had also appeared in the media, the actor denied being present on the spot at the time of the accident.

After completing his BBA, Prajwal was all set to do his Master’s degree. During that time, he landed an acting offer from director Shashank for the movie ‘Sixer’. Prajwal was cast opposite Devaki and the film was released on 5th January 2007. It was followed by ‘Geleya’, a film directed by Harsha where Prajwal was cast alongside Tarun Chandra and Kirat Bhattal.
In successive years, Prajwal acted in several movies such as Meravanige (2008), Gulama (2009), Murali Meets Meera (2011), Super Shastri and Galaate (2013), Jamboo Savari and Neenade Naa (2014), Mrugashira and Arjuna (2015). The actor also appeared in a camo role in films such as Ananthu vs Nusrath, Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya, and Yajamana.
Apart from receiving the Suvarna Best Debut Actor award, Prajwal has also been a recipient of the SIIMA Award Best Actor – Critics in 2020 for his performance in the film Gentleman. Directed by Jadesh Kumar Hampi, Prajwal was cast opposite Nishvika Naidu in the action thriller film.
Prajwal will be soon acting in his debut Telugu movie titled ‘ NRI’. Directed by newcomer Venu, the shooting of the film will start in September, as per reports. The other movies from Prajwal that are lined up for release include ‘Gana’, ‘Mafia’ directed by Lohith H, and ‘Tatsama Tadbhava’, a film directed by Vishal Atreya with Meghana Raj playing the lead character.
Prajwal has also signed his first pan-Indian film titled ‘ Jathara’. Directed by Sankarabharanam fame Uday Nandanavanam, the story of the film is written by Vasudev Reddy. As per reports, the makers are all set to start the shooting in August. Apparently, Prajwal is attending acting workshops to get his Telugu diction right.
