Rahul Vaidya: All About Bigg Boss 14 Fame Indian Singer!

Rahul Krushna Vaidya is an Indian singer who sings mainly in Hindi films and music albums. He started his singing career by joining as a contestant in ‘Indian Idol’, a singing reality show. After emerging as second runner-up in the show, Rahul went on to sing in Bollywood films such as Shaadi No. 1, Krazy 4, and Race 2.

The singer has also lent his voice to Tamil films such as Padmaavat and War and Telugu film War. A recipient of the Indian Television Academy Awards’ Best Music Video award, Rahul has also sung in music albums such as Tera Intezar, Aafno Mann, and Fan.

Born on September 23, 1987, Rahul grew up in Mumbai. The singer’s father Krushna Vaidya worked as an engineer with Maharashtra State Electricity Board and his mother’s name is Geetha. Rahul also has a sister, Shruti.

Rahul Vaidya Relationships

in 2018, Rahul’s relationship with television actress Disha Parmar started after she commented on the singer’s Instagram post. They started talking with each other and exchanged numbers. Rahul and Disha soon fell in love with each other. Later, the couple met each other for the first time when Rahul was shooting for his single in Delhi.

In 2020, Rahul entered the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 14’. On Disha’s 26th birthday, Rahul proposed to her inside the house and on Valentine’s Day, Disha made a surprise entry to the Bigg Boss house and accepted Rahul’s proposal. 

On July 16, 2021, Rahul tied the knot with Disha, and two years later, i.e. on September 20, 2023, the couple welcomed a baby girl.

In October 2021, Rahul was embroiled in controversy after his newly released song ‘Garbe ki Raat’ hurt the religious sentiments of a section of people. In the song, the singer mentioned the name of ‘Shri Mogal Maa’ and it irked the devotees of the goddess, especially the Gujarati audience.

Subsequently, Rahul received death threats from some people and they demanded that the singer remove the name of the deity. Later, Rahul’s spokesperson stated that they would be rectifying the objectionable lyrics in the song.

Since his childhood days, Rahul always used to sing songs. Later, before entering the music industry he started singing in colleges. Rahul also learned music under his teachers – Suresh Wadkar and Padma Wadkar. During that time he also sang a lot of jingles.

The turning point in Rahul’s career was joining as a contestant in ‘Indian Idol’, a reality show in 2004. Back then, he was a class 12 student and emerged as the second runner-up of the show. Rahul soon rose to fame and garnered a lot of fan following. The following year, he got an opportunity to sing a couple of songs in the Hindi film ‘Shaadi No. 1’.

He also released his debut album “Tera Intezar,” composed by the music director duo Sajid-Wajid in the same year. Rahul later went on to deliver several hit songs such as the title track of ‘Ek Ladki Anjaani Si’, a show aired on Sony TV, an unplugged version of Race 2’s song “Be Intehaan” and “Ek Rupaiya” song from the movie Krazzy 4.

The other non-film songs sung by the actor include Aafno Mann, Matthe Te Chamkan, Lambo, and Naughty Balam. Apart from singing, Rahul also hosted television shows such as Jhoom India and Aajaa Mahi Vay. He also emerged as the winner of ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar’, a singing reality show, and emerged as the runner-up of the ‘Bigg Boss 14’ show.
