Tamil Tv Actress Shalini Celebrates Divorce With Amazing Photoshoot!
In a never before heard of the concept, Tamil television actress Shalini has come up with a stunning photoshoot celebrating her divorce from her husband. On her Instagram account, the actress shared the pictures of her divorce photoshoot that went viral in no time.
Shalini became a household name after acting in the Tamil serial Mullum Malarum. Later she was also part of the reality show ‘ Super Mom’.
In the photoshoot, Shalini, clad in a red gown with a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit, is seen happily posing for the photographer with a smiling face. In one of the photos, the actress is holding a twine with the words ‘divorced’ attached to it.
In the other picture, Shalini is seen tearing off her wedding photo in which she had posed along with her ex-husband. In another interesting gesture, the actress is seen holding a bottle in one hand and a blackboard in the other with the words “ I got 99 problems but a husband ain’t one”.
While sharing her photos on Instagram, Shalini wrote that it is a divorced woman’s message to those who feel voiceless. The actress says that it’s fine to leave a bad marriage as one deserves to be happy.
She urges that one should never settle for less, take control of their lives, and make the changes necessary to build a better future for themselves and their children. According to Shalini, divorce is not a failure, but it’s a turning point where one can bring positive changes in their life.
The actress ends her social media post with the statement that it takes a lot of courage to leave a marriage and stand-alone, thus dedicating the post to all the brave women out there.
In an interview with ‘Galatta Voice’, a Tamil YouTube channel, the actress revealed her painful experience of going through a troubled marriage and domestic violence. Shalini’s first marriage was an arranged one that ended in divorce within 3 months.
Later, she got married to Riaz, a Muslim whom she met in Dubai when she went there for a dance program. It was the second marriage for Riyaz as well. Later, Shalini gave birth to her baby daughter Riya.
In the interview, Shalini termed her second husband Riaz as a psycho and said that their relationship turned toxic due to his abusive behavior. According to the actress, Riaz used to beat her repeatedly under the influence of alcohol. She went on to say that he even suffered from injuries several times due to the beating from him.
A week after her photoshoot went viral, on 3rd May Shalini came up with another Instagram post thanking everyone for their interest in her photoshoot. The actress mentioned that she is not ready for any interview at this point in time.
Shalini also clarified that she did the photoshoot not for the sake of publicity, but to send a message to everyone out there who is going through a similar situation.
