The Government Will Pay Rs 20 Crore For The Ro-ro Jetty In Goa’s Port City
An exclusive report from Panaji, the government is all set to pay INR 20 crore for the Ro-ro jetty in Goa’s exclusive Port city which has been in the news for a long and is one of the most awaited of them all.
What’s the new catch? The government of Goa is all set to encourage the RO-RO and RO PAX ferry services. This is one of the best decisions of the central government decision that is said to put the ferry services in the port town.
This port town of Goa was highly anticipated and now is all set to build a whopping amount of INR 20 crores. What’s next? The passenger at the jetty that is also available at the Vasco Bay Mormugao port is not just any port- it is among the top 42 places that are exclusive to the coastal states of India.
Here, only the selected ones are under the Sagarmala project and it’s all set to develop and mind a boost to inland tourism. That is one of the most prestigious and successful moves in the city and we cannot keep calm to see the result!
Here, we got the unstated and unstarred question from Tuesday wherein the Union Minister of Ports, shipping, and waterways were asked a couple of questions. The Union Minister Sri Sarbananda Sonowal made sure to reply and inform the people in regard to the same.
He informed the Rajya Sabha about the government and how it has already proposed the development of the ferry services. Apart from the development they already are planning to connect the tourists’ potential places and want to make it happen alongside the western coast from Kanyakumari to Goa.
This tourism plan will not only help in the overall development of the area but also enhance tourism. It will put efforts into the east traffic flow that is exclusively seen on the coastal roads.
This strategy will be implemented by the MpA and the agency is all set to work on the project. It will definitely give wings to new tourism and projects related. It is also more than just one jetty and is under the central scheme as well.
The state of Maharashtra is already here with the maximum number of RO-RO and RO PAX jetties. These are also followed by other cities and states called Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat.
It’s definitely going to be a success and is in high demand. This also is seen as the high potential success of a project that has been planned since last year.
The government was working for it and closed it to the 30 places in Maharashtra which also includes 4 exclusive projects in Andhra Pradesh, apart from this there were 2 in Odisha and 1 each in Goa and Tamil Nadu. These plans were in support of introducing and launching urban water transport systems, as announced by prime minister Narendra Modi!
