Must Visit Places In Kashid, Maharashtra!

In the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India lies Kashid a small village with beaches and historical forts as its highlights. Peace seekers and getaway people opting for serene destinations and adventures would love this place as this is the capital for it.

The tourists have a special love for these places due to the fact that the village is covered by mountains on one side and the Arabian Sea on the other. On top of this, the place offers several other activities as well.

Here are some of the most enjoyable and popular activities offered by the village to its tourists and visitors.

Murud Janjira Sea Fort

Since it is close to the sea, Murud Janjira Sea Fort is a must-visit place in Kashid. Said to be built around the 17th century the fort is situated on an island right off the coast of Murud which in fact gave its name.

The fort is a signature spot of the former Maratha Empire and history freaks can have a peek here to know more about the ancient past of this region. The fort is surrounded by the sea which makes it even more pretty to its visitors.
