The state has over a dozen waterfalls scattered across the region and attracts viewers from tourists as well as locals from all over the country. Let’s explore each of the most popular waterfalls including the best time to visit and how to visit.

Dhuandhar Falls

Bhedaghat which is located near the district of Jabalpur is home to Dhuandhar Falls which is one of the most popular falls situated here. At a height of around 98 feet, the famous river Narmada falls down creating a sight and landscape similar to a foggy or Smokey environment.

Use a taxi or grab a bus from Jabalpur to get here and make sure to visit around the monsoon season which ranges between July to September and receives moderate to heavy rainfall making it ideal to witness the falls at its peak.

Bee Falls

Bee Falls is situated at Pachmarhi and attracts visitors because of its picturesque landscape. This fall is a multi-tiered fall accompanied by waters sliding down a steep rocky slope. This is one of the best Waterfalls in Madhya Pradesh.

Purwa Falls

Purwa Falls lies in the Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh and is an ideal spot for picnics and sightseeing. Formed by the waters of the Tamsa River, Purwa Falls is covered in dense forests adding up to the lush greenery of the region.

Patalpani Waterfall

Raneh Falls

This beautiful fall is located in the District of Chhatarpur close to the popular Khajuraho temples which is another site visited by tourists and locals alike. The waterfalls flow through a narrow gorge of igneous rocks making it a perfect site to watch.

Unlike other falls mentioned, the best time to visit isn’t during the monsoon months but the post-monsoon period which ranges from October to February to enjoy the falls at its fullest, and the water levels at this time are safe and ideal.  

Bahuti Falls

A hidden gem between the Satpura Range in Hoshangabad district, Bahuti Falls is covered in dense forests offering a refreshing experience and soothes the mind of its visitors.

Rajat Pratap Falls sits beside the Panna National Park making your trip a much-worthy one due to two tourist spots lying close to close. Rajat Pratap is regarded as one of the highest in Madhya Pradesh showering down at a height of 350 feet.

Keoti Falls

Tincha Falls
