Sonam Kapoor’s Movie Blind Gets Delayed, And No OTT Takes It
It’s been a long time since we last saw Sonam Kapoor in the movies- last she was seen in The Zoya Factor back in 2019 when she impressed the audiences with her charm. But now the rumors are that she’s all set to release the OTT movie called Blind- but here’s a catch.
The movie is said to be delayed- and not due to the dates’ availability or related to production but its high rates. Yes, the filmmaker has reportedly asked for a higher price that no OTT is ready to take.
According to the reports, Sonam Kapoor‘s starrer movie- Blind is asking for approximately 40 crores INR to release the product on the OTT platform- and hence many of the Ott platforms are not taking the release. Sonam Kapoor was last seen in 2019, and now she is again back in the game- we remember her being pregnant and taking a break.
Ever since the baby she wanted to come back with a bang. She wanted to showcase her fashion side badly and also got the chance to do so. Reportedly she started working on the Korean movie released in 2011 remake called Blind. The rumors had that the movie was all set to release at the start of 2022 but what made it get delayed?
The movie called Blind was delayed due to the pandemic and other restrictions followed after that. The makers then chose to go for the OTT release but what is a success? It seems it wasn’t as there have been many restrictions and other troubled waters seem to surface.
This venture was demanding and the rumors have it that the movie is delayed again. The movie is having a tough time finding the right OTT platform and it’s only due to its demands.
Although we know Blind was a theatre release, the world pandemic showed a different side and now it was asked to be released directly to the OTT platform. Here again, the formalities are not being made properly and it still remains hard to be released on any OTT platform.
The makers are asking for a heavy price and they are right on their end but no OTT is accepting the same. They want a lower price for the movie that has been delayed and no OTT is accepting the same. The streaming venture now has given rights to the OTT platforms that are not accepting the same and we cannot expect a sooner release.
The makers are not ready to back down and so aren’t the Ott releases and now we can certainly see the movie is stuck in the bid. Would it be possible for it to get released anytime soon? Who knows!
But we can expect the air to be cleaned soon and we will be able to see the stunning Sonam Kapoor back on the movie sets, enchanting us with her fashion and more. There is more to the movie- that’s the story! We cannot wait for the story to unravel!
