Aishwarya Rai Looks Stunning In White Anarkali At Ponniyin Selvan II Press Conference

With her stunning looks, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has once again grabbed the attention of onlookers on the occasion of the Ponniyin Selvan II Press Conference. Dressed in an elegant white, Anarkali suit embellished with heavy embroidery, the actress looked drop-dead gorgeous at the event.
The former Miss World pageant winner paired her ethnic attire with a matching dupatta and a beautiful emerald necklace. The actress preferred to keep her long tresses open at the event.
Aishwarya, clad in the same dress, posted a couple of photographs on her Instagram account as well. Apparently, the actress is posing beside a mirror in these pictures. Within a few hours, the who’s who of Bollywood including Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek Bachchan, and singer Harshdeep Kaur commented on her Instagram post.
Abhsihek responded with a heart emoji whereas Harshdeep commented ‘Ethereal’ followed by a heart emoji. The other prominent celebrities to comment on Aishwarya’s social media posts include fashion designers Manish Malhotra and Falguni Peacock. Both of them responded by posting heart emojis.
The Ponniyin Selvan II Press Conference held in Mumbai was a star-studded affair. Apart from Aishwarya, It was attended by ace director Mani Ratnam and many leading actors such as Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Aishwarya Lekshmi.
While speaking at the event, Mani Ratnam, the director of the movie showered praises on Aishwarya for her acting skills. He said that filmmakers are very selfish and are only bothered about their films.
Mani went on to say that though he loves Aishwarya Rai a lot, he asks her to act in a movie only if he thinks that she is the apt person for that role. The director also said that Aishwarya was nice enough to say yes when he approached her.
On hearing Mani’s speech, an overwhelmed Aishwarya got up right away and touched his feet. Earlier, on seeing Mani, the actress had hugged the director and posed along with him for the shutterbugs.
Ponniyin Selvan 2 is all set to hit the theatres on April 28th. In the movie, Aishwarya portrays the dual characters of Nandini – the Queen of Pazhuvoor, and Mandakini – the aunt of Poonguzhali.
Ponniyin Selvan 2 is a sequel to Ponniyin Selvan: I, a cinematic adaptation of the novel ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The first part of the movie turned out to be a blockbuster and grossed a whopping Rs. 500 crores at the box office worldwide.
Produced and directed by Mani Ratnam, part 1’s music was composed by A. R. Rahman, and cinematography by Ravi Varman. The screenplay was written by Mani Ratnam along with
B. Jeyamohan and Elango Kumaravel. The main theme of the movie was the power struggle that took place in the Chola dynasty.
All movie lovers are eagerly awaiting the release of ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ as it expects to unfold the suspense of who will emerge winner in the power struggle and who will be crowned as the prince.
