Affair

On 5th November 2019, Alanna met Ivor McCray for the first time at a Halloween party. Ivor hails from Mount Vernon in the United States and is a film director by profession. Alanna recalled in an Instagram post that during their first meeting, Ivor made her laugh so much. Later, the couple moved in together and it was three months of knowing each other. After dating for two years, Alanna and Ivor finally got engaged on 5th November 2021. The couple got married on 16th March 2023.

Education

Alanna did her schooling at a private school in Mumbai. Later, she enrolled at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London to pursue a course in fashion management and marketing.

Controversies

In June 2020, Alanna revealed that after posting a bikini photo of hers on Instagram, she received death threats from a woman. The influencer went on to say that though she was shocked, such issues have become an everyday part of her life. It was on her Instagram account that Alanna recollected the nasty incident that happened months ago. After seeing her bikini-clad photograph, a woman commented that she deserved to be gang raped. The person who commented tagged Alanna’s parents as well so that they also saw their daughter’s photograph.

On seeing the comment, Alanna immediately blocked that person from her Instagram account and deleted that comment. When she visited that lady’s profile to block her, the influencer got to know that that person was married and also has a daughter who is a bit younger than her. A disappointed Alanna stated that she just doesn’t understand how one can wish that upon someone else’s child.

While sharing the screenshot of that person’s profile on her Instagram account, Alanna commented that educated people in our country still speak and think like this. She also added that going by her bio, that lady seems to be a doctor or a nurse.

  • The couple is planning their wedding in such a manner that they want to give back to society. For this purpose, they have tied up with NGOs and their wedding hampers consist of products that are sustainable. Also, the flowers that will be used at the function will be converted to potpourri that will in turn be gifted to the guests.
  • There are times when Alanna wants to go on a digital detox. She feels like throwing her phone away and opts for going to a spa or going on a weekend. However, the irony is that when the temptation becomes really irresistible, she posts a story or two on social media.
