Anoushka Shankar is a British musician and the daughter of renowned Indian sitar player Ravi Shankar. Anoushka is the first woman to receive the British house of commons shield. Further, Anoushka is born on 9^th June 1981 in London, UK. Her childhood was between London and New Delhi.

By the time of marriage, her father had turned 70 and the intention was to master their little daughter in the sitar instrument.  Ravi Shankar passed away in 2012 after a heart valve replacement surgery. Further, they had two children Zubin Shankar wright and Mohan Shankar wright.
