Divyanka Tripathi is an Indian television actress who majorly works in Hindi serials. She was noticed for her performance in Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, a soap opera aired on Zee TV.
However, she became a household name after portraying the character of Dr. Ishita Iyer Bhalla in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, a series aired on Star Plus. Divyanka holds the distinction of being the first Indian television actress to make an entry in the Forbes Celebrity 100, a list prepared based on Indian celebrities’ income and popularity.
The actress also has a massive fan following on social media platforms, including 24.8 million followers on Instagram and 7.5 million followers on Facebook.

Divyanka Tripathi Family
Divyanka was born on 14 December 1984. The actress’s father Narendra Tripathi works as a pharmacist and her mother Neelam Tripathi is a Bharatnatyam dancer who conducts dance classes for her students at the dance academy.
Divyanka also has an elder sister Priyanka Tiwari and a younger brother Aishwarya Tripathi who works as a pilot.
Relationships
Divyanka met actor Ssharad Malhotra for the first time on the sets of the 2006 television serial ‘Banoo Main Teri Dulhan’. Soon, the actor couple fell in love with each other. However, both of them preferred to keep their relationship under wraps.
Finally, after dating for 8 years, Divyanka and Ssharad made their relationship public in 2014. Though they were planning to get married in 2015, eventually they had a break-up and both of them parted ways.
After her breakup with Ssharad, Divyanka happened to meet Vivek Dahiya, an actor. It was on the sets of the serial ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ that the actress met her co-star Vivek. Soon they became friends, and love blossomed between the two.
In 2015 December, Vivek proposed to Divyanka, on her birthday. Finally, the couple got engaged in January 2016 and got married in the same year, in July.

Divyanka did her schooling from Carmel Convent School, Bhopal. Later she joined Sarojini Naidu Govt. Girls P.G. (Auto.) College in Bhopal and completed her graduation from there.
The actress also did a course in mountaineering from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi.
Controversies
In an interview, Divyanka once reveleaed her personal experience of encountering with casting couch. According to the actress, there were times when she had no money and had to pay her bills and EMIs.
During that struggling phase, an offer came and the actress was told that she has to be with a particular director so that she will get a big break. Divyanka went on to say that people even threaten to ruin an artist’s career if she is not ready to go along with them.

In her early days, Divyanka aspired to become an army officer. Thus, Divyanka’s father made her join NCC in order to fullfill her dream. During her school days, Divyanka also used to work as a host with All India Radio (AIR).
With the turn of events, in 2003 she participated in the Pantene Zee Teen Queen and was awarded the title of Miss Beautiful Skin. Later, she took part in “India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj” and reached the top 8 from the Bhopal zone.
An undeterred Divyanka, again applied through the Indore zone and emerged runner-up in the competition. In 2005, she was crowned Miss Bhopal.
Divyanka made her acting debut by associating in a telefilm for Doordarshan. It was followed by a show titled Akash Vani. The turning point in Divyanka’s career was portraying the dual roles of Vidya and Divya in ‘Banoo Main Teri Dulhann’ in August 2006.
The actress gained wide recognition for her acting in the series and went on to win several awards such as the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Actress in Drama Category and the Indian Telly Award for Fresh New Face.
Later, Divyanka acted in several serials such as Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai, Mrs. & Mr. Sharma Allahabadwale, Chintu Chinki Aur Ek Badi Si Love Story and Teri Meri Love Stories.
In 2013, Divyanka portrayed the role of Dr. Ishita Bhalla in the series Yeh Hai Mohabbatein
And it turned out to be a big hit. The serial ran for 6 years and the actress bagged many awards including the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Lead Role and the Lions Gold Award for Best Actress in Lead Role.
Apart from serials, Divyanka has also appeared in several reality shows. She emerged winner in Nach Baliye 8, a dance reality show and was also a contestant in ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11’ and emerged as the runner-up.

- Ahead of his marriage with Divyanka, Vivek was interviewed by the actress’s father, sister and brother-in-law. On the other hand, Divyanka was also interviewed by Vivek’s family in a closed room.
- Divyanka is a pure vegetarian and her all-time favourites include dal, baati and churma.
- Divyanka once threw a surprise dinner for her husband Vivek on the occasion of his birthday. It was a dinner in the sky at Dubai and the actress made that birthday really special for her husband.
- In January 2023, Divyanka gifted herself with Royal Enfield’s Meteor Steller 350 bike.
- The actress is a gold medallist in rifle shooting and she bagged the medal during her training at the Bhopal Rifle Academy.
