However, Gayathri became a household name after playing the character of Deepthi IPS in ‘Parasparam’, a serial on Asianet. She has also acted in many films such as Sarvopari Palakkaran, Ormma, One, and Ennalum Ente Aliya. Gayathri has her own YouTube channel ‘Life Stories with Gayathri Arun’, where she mainly posts travel and cookery videos.

Gayathri Arun Family
Gayathri was born to Ramachandran Nair and her mother’s name is not available in the public sources. The actress also has a younger brother, Gopikrishnan who is married to Harikeerthana.

Gayathri is married to Arun Menon, a businessman. Arun is a relative of Gayathri and they knew each other since their childhood days. Furthermore, Arun’s sister Anju was Gayatri’s classmate at school and he used to come to their school to pick up his sister. In December 2018, Gayatri lambasted a netizen who tried to make sexual advances to her on social media. It was a person by the name of Rohan Kuriakose who messaged the actress on Facebook requesting to spend a night with him. He also offered her Rs.2 lakhs for an hour and mentioned that he will keep the matter a secret.
Soon, Gayatri exposed that person on Facebook by sharing the screenshot of his sleaze message. While sharing the post, the actress also wrote that she will definitely remember his sister/mother in her prayers for their safety.

During her college days, Gayathri used to host television and stage shows for various events. As soon as she completed her graduation, she got a campus placement with Impressario, an event management company. Gayathri’s next stint was with Club FM, an FM channel, and later she joined Mathrubhumi, a media company.
While she was working with Mathrubhumi, Gayathri got to know from her neighbor, a television artist that the makers of the Asianet serial ‘Indira’ was looking for a replacement for the lead role. Thus, in 2013, she went on leave and made her acting debut with ‘Indira’, a serial telecast on Mazhavil Manorama.
Soon after Indira, Gayathri got a major break with ‘Parasparam’, a remake of the Hindi television series ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ aired on Star Plus. The character of Deepthi IPS became quite popular among the television-watching audience and Gayathri soon rose to fame. On television, Gayathri has hosted several shows such as Kalalayavarnangal, Gandharvasangeetham, The People’s Choice, Laughing Villa, and Ente Amma Superaa.
In 2017, Gayathri made her debut in films with ‘Sarvopari Palakkaran’. She played the character of ASP Chandra Sivakumar in the movie. It was followed by films such as Ormma, Thrissur Pooram, and One. Gayathri played the lead role in the 2023 film ‘Ennalum Ente Aliya’. She was cast opposite Suraj Venjaramoodu in the movie.
In 2021, Gayathri turned writer with the book ‘Achappam Kadhakal’, a memoir of his father. The book was released by superstar Mohanlal.
