Meera Chopra is an Indian actress who majorly appears in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi-language movies. Known by the name Nila in the Tamil film industry, she is also into modeling. Meera is the cousin of leading Hindi film actresses Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra.
In May 2022, the actress walked the red carpet at the 75th edition of the Cannes film festival. On social media platforms, Meera Chopra is quite popular with a whopping 9.6 million followers on Facebook and 4,85,000 followers on Instagram.

Born on 8th July 1983, Meera’s father Sudesh Chopra is a politician and her mother Neelam Chopra is a housewife. She also has a sister, Timsy Chopra, and a brother name Vikram Chopra.
Affair
Meera Chopra once revealed in an interview that she has never been single. However, when the interviewer asked her about who the person was, the actress said that it was nobody else’s business and it was private and personal.
Education
After completing her schooling in Delhi, Meera enrolled at the Saginaw Valley State University in the United States. The actress did her graduation with English Honours and later a Master’s degree in communication and multimedia from the same university.
Controversies
In March 2023, Priyanka Chopra made a shocking revelation that she was pushed into a corner in the Hindi film industry. The actress went on to add that people were not casting her and she had beef with people. Priyanka also said that she was not good at playing that game, was tired of the politics and she wanted to take a break.
Following the announcement by Priyanka, Meera came out in public extending support to her cousin via her Twitter handle. She tweeted that regardless of how big or successful an outsider becomes, in the end, they will remain an outsider only. The actress also stated that cutting and smothering them will never stop unless one doesn’t follow the rulebook. Meera’s tweet ends with the statement that what Priyanka Chopra achieved is a tight slap on the faces of such people.

Meera Chopra made her debut in the Tamil film industry with the 2005 movie Anbe Aaruyire. She was cast opposite actor S. J. Surya in the film. The following year, she acted in a supporting role in Bangaram, a Telugu movie. One of the most critically acclaimed Telugu movies in Meera’s career was ‘Vaana’ – a film directed by M.S. Raju.
Since her acting debut, it took a long 10 years for Meera to play a role in a Hindi movie. In 2016, Vikram Bhatt’s 1920: London happened and Meera Chopra portrayed the character of Shivangi.
Apart from Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu films, Meera has also acted in an English movie titled ‘One’ and a Kannada movie ‘Arjun’. In 2021 she went on to act in the web series ‘The Tattoo Murders’ which was aired on Hotstar.
