Meera Chopra made her debut in the Tamil film industry with the 2005 movie Anbe Aaruyire. She was cast opposite actor S. J. Surya in the film. The following year, she acted in a supporting role in Bangaram, a Telugu movie. One of the most critically acclaimed Telugu movies in Meera’s career was ‘Vaana’ – a film directed by M.S. Raju.

Since her acting debut, it took a long 10 years for Meera to play a role in a Hindi movie. In 2016, Vikram Bhatt’s 1920: London happened and Meera Chopra portrayed the character of Shivangi.

While speaking about sourcing clothes for the Cannes film festival, Meera said that all Indian designers wanted to provide outfits to Deepika Padukone or a bigger celebrity. The actress added that during those times she could not sleep for three or four nights as there was huge pressure on her.
