Mira was born on 7 September 1994 and she hails from an elite Punjabi family in Delhi’s Chattarpur area. Her father Vikram Rajput is a businessman and her mother Bela Rajput is a homemaker. Mira also has two elder sisters, Noorjehan Rajput Wadhwani and Priya Rajput Tulshan.

Of these, Noorjehan works as Chief Executive Officer at Athletifreak, a luxury apparel brand company and Priya is the founder of StudioPSD, a firm that deals with personal stationery products.

Mira got married to Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor in an intimate wedding held on July 7th, 2015. The couple has two children, a daughter Misha, and a son Zain.

In 2017, Mira stirred controversy while delivering a speech on the occasion of International Women’s Day. During her speech, the YouTuber expressed her views on motherhood, feminism, and her decision to be a homemaker.

According to Mira, she loves being at home and also being a mother to her child. She said she doesn’t want to spend one hour a day with her child and rush off to work. Mira also remarked that her daughter is not a puppy and she wants to be there for her as a mother. 

The term ‘puppy’ used by Mira irked the working women. It led to a furore on social media and the YouTuber was brutally trolled for her controversial statement.
