Niyati Fatnani: Successful Story Of Hindi Television Star!

Niyati Fatnani is an Indian actress, dancer, and model who majorly works in Hindi television serials. In 2016, she kick-started her acting career by featuring in D4-Get Up and Dance, a dance fiction series.

In this series, Niyati portrayed the character of Niharika Sinha who was cast alongside Utkarsh Gupta. Later, she rose to fame after playing the roles of Piya Rathod in Nazar and Ginni Garewal Singh in Channa Mereya. A professional Kathak dancer, Niyati has a huge fan following on social media with a whopping 1 million Instagram followers.

Born on 11 January 1991, Niyati’s father’s name is Suresh Fatnani and her mother’s name is Komal Fatnani. She also has a younger sister by the name of Barkha Fatnani.

Affair


In 2016, news reports surfaced that Niyati is in a relationship with a person named Rahul Mallah. In an interview with a leading entertainment portal, the actress disclosed that they are dating each other. She went on to add that it’s been two beautiful years with Rahul.

According to Niyati, she met Rahul at Terence Lewis Dance Academy where he was her teacher. Initially, both of them were friends and later the couple fell in love with each other.

On January 8th, 2020, Niyati, on her official Instagram account posted some photos where she was seen clad in a saree. The actress gave the photo credits to Rahul, addressed him as darling, and also tagged him in the post.

The caption read ” Take me to _paris “, she said. ” You are Paris”, he replied. Pic credits my darling @rahulmallah. Going to Rahul Mallah’s Instagram profile, he works as a choreographer.

However, in 2023 January, Niyati disclosed in an interview that she is currently single. She went on to add that she is focusing only on work right now.

Niyati Fatnani did her early schooling at Amar Jyoti Saraswati International School located in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Later she joined S.N. Kansagra School in Rajkot, Gujarat.

After completing her schooling, the actress enrolled at GLS (J.P. Shah) Institute of Business Administration in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and completed her BBA from there.

Controversies

Niyati was once asked about actors becoming the targets of personal attacks and hateful comments on social media. As per her reply, people tend to share strong opinions about television and actors often turn out to be the target of personal comments for the programs they do and the roles they portray.

Niyati went on to state that people need to understand that they are just actors and the characters they play are not at all related to what they believe in their personal lives.

Tattoos

In 2018, Niyati inked a tattoo while she was acting in Nazar, a show aired on the channel Star Plus. Portraying the character of Daivik in the show, it was the tattoo of a Trishul that she got done on her shoulder.

Severely allergic to artificial tattoos, the actress inked a real tattoo to add perfection to her character. While speaking in an interview, Niyati said that the makers of the show wanted the tattoo to look real.

After completing her college studies in Ahmedabad, Niyati moved to Mumbai in order to learn dance. Subsequently, the actress enrolled at a dance school in Mumbai. One day, Niyati got to know from her instructor at the dance school that auditions were going on for a dance-based tv show.

Thus, she went for the audition along with her dance friends. Niyati was lucky to clear the auditions and thus she got a chance in her debut tv show ‘ D4-Get Up and Dance’ in 2016. Commenting on this incident, the actress once said that it was destined for her to do a show on dance.

In 2017, she played the role of Dharmavidya Raidhan Katara / Arundhati / Mukhiyani in Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaagey where she was cast opposite Eijaz Khan. The following year proved to be a turning point in Niyati’s life. She portrayed the role of Piya Sharma Rathod in Nazar alongside Harsh Rajput and thus she became the heartthrob of the television-watching audience.

2021 saw Niyati playing the role of Piya in the telefilm Ankahee Dastan. It was followed by ‘Channa Mereya’, a romantic drama television series in which she was cast opposite Karan Wahi.

  • Niyati says that it’s not easy to be in a relationship due to her hectic work schedule.
  • Niyati revealed in an interview that she owes her acting career to Madhuri Dixit. She recollected watching Madhuri for the first time in ‘Beta’ and after seeing her dance moves in the song ‘ dhak karne laga’, she fell in love with her. 
  • The most memorable three years in her life were the college days spent in Ahmedabad. Nitati recollects visiting Law Garden and bingeing on delicious food at the Khau Galli.
  • When asked about marriage, the actress says that her parents’ approval is of utmost importance to her.  
  • Even when a lockdown was announced during the Covid-19 pandemic, Niyati joined online dance classes. She says that dance is like oxygen for her.
  • Niyati is of the opinion that television content should not be restricted only to saas-bahu serials. She went on to say that television audiences want a break from the typical dramas and attributed the success of fantasy content to that factor.
  • When asked about her Holy plans for 2023, the actress said that she wishes to spend time with her family.
