Location

The Pench National Park is located in the Seoni and Chhindwara districts of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

The area of the park covers over 758 sq. KM of land and located on the state’s southern boundary shared with another Indian state Maharashtra.

Climatic Conditions

Pench is a tropical National Park and faces temperatures at their extreme points where summers are very hot from the temperature hitting peak at a figure between 30°C to 45°C.

The monsoon period starts in June till the end of September and faces moderate to heavy rainfall which might result in the parks closing. Winters are calm and pleasant with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 25°C which is more comfortable for its beloved visitors.

Best Time to Visit Pench National Park

It is highly recommended to visit the Pench National Park between November and May as the weather is comfortable for visitors from several places. These are the months when it faces the typical cold or winter in India in some cases.

How To Reach Pench National Park

It is easier and more convenient to reach Pench National Park by Road, Rail, and Air. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur is the closest airport to this location.

India has one of the largest networks of railway lines and connects to several major states and cities in India. The nearest railway station is situated in Nagpur and 93 Kilometers away from the national park.

From the airport and railway station you can grab a taxi or hire a vehicle of your choice to reach the park. The roads are interconnected to several major cities In Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
