Since its building cost Rs. 9 lakhs, it is also better known as Naulakha (Nine-Lakh) temple. This temple is very alike to the Temple of Ramakrishna in Belur.
This temple was constructed on the donations of Rani Charushila of the Pathuria Ghat King’s family around Kolkata, West Bengal.

Hathi Pahar

Only two of the 3 peaks are measured as safe for trekking while the third one is unreachable due to its exceedingly steep slopes.

Sivaganga Kund
Shivaganga is a holy site in Deoghar. It is a massive pond considered religious by the supporters of Hinduism, particularly the Shaivas. This pond is situated near Baidyanath Temple and happens since ages. Taking a dip in the virtuous waters of Shivganga is watched as equivalent to bathing in the holy Ganges.
Shivganga, according to the antique scriptures, was formed by a heavy fist blow by Ravana, the demon academic. When he was carrying the Shivalinga to Lanka, he felt the impulse to urinate. He saw a Brahmin child and provide him the Shivalinga. The kid was none other than Lord Ganesha.
Since the Shivalinga was too weighty, the child kept it there and it was immovable. Ravana didn’t find a source of water to sponge his hands so he punched the earth energetically so that a shower spurted from the ground. This introduced Shivaganga. Recently, devotees carry the water from this pond to do the jalabhisheka of Lord Shiva.
Tapovan Caves and Hills
Situated just 10 km from Deoghar, this place has a beautiful temple of Shiva named Taponath Mahadeva and a number of caves are also current there.
In one of the caves, there is a Shiva lingam fitted and it is said that Sage Valmiki came here for atonement.
Harila Jorik
The distance between Deoghar and Hrila Jorik is nearly 8 kilometers. North of Deoghar is where Harila Jori is situated. This location used to be enclosed in Haritaki (Myrobalan) trees. It is supposed that Lord Vishnu came here for a brief duration, pretentious the appearance of a shepherd.
It is also supposed that Shiva and Vishnu united here. Thus, Harila-Jori’s name was provided for this area. Achintan Das was the architect of the astonishing Shiva temple. Basukinath Temple

It is said that, at Basukinath Dham, Lord Shiva, and Mata Parvati Mandirs are located in front of each other.

Nandan Pahar
