Shri Karikaana Parameshwari Temple
This temple is a Hindu goddess temple that is built with the help of Shreedhar Swami in the Western Ghats. Only a single rock was used to chisel out the Garbhagudi. It is located in an intense forest which makes it the best place for nature lovers.

Shri Karikaana Parameshwari Temple is a heaven on earth but it is advisable to leave this before it gets dark as there are a number of leopards and tigers in that area.
Apsarakonda Waterfalls

You can reach this temple through a trek in the beautiful woods. The large gateway to enter this temple has beautiful artwork on both sides of its barriers.
Shri Kshethra Bangaramakki
Shri Kshethra Bangaramakki is located in Gerusoppa, the former capital of Rani Chennabhairadevi, known as the Pepper Queen. The temple is surrounded by coconut and palm trees and is located in a tranquil setting.

The water in this temple used for Abhisheka i.e., the ritual bathing of the god is said to provide both spiritual and physical benefits. This temple is more crowded early in the morning at four and six in the evening as it is the time for Theertha Snaana.
Best Time To Visit Honnavar
Honnavar is a coastal town in Karnataka that is known for its beauty and history. This coastal port is hot and humid like any other coastal town. The summer season is really very hot and humid here whereas the monsoon season is colder in temperature but the rainy weather makes it unsuitable and inconvenient to explore Honnavar properly.
The ideal time to reach Honnavar would be the time when you are tension free and ready to completely soak yourself in the memorable experience of Karnataka.
So, the best time to visit Honnavar, Karnataka is between the months of September and March. It would be really best to go in the month of September. While visiting Honnavar, dress properly as per their conservative local beliefs. It is preferred to wear cotton clothing to beat the hot weather. It is also advisable to carry raincoats, umbrellas, and additional layers for evening chills as it gets a little colder in the evening.
How To Reach Honnavar?
Honnavar is a small coastal town located in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka, India. One can reach Honnavar by various modes of transportation such as railways, roadways, and airways. But, there is no direct traveling facility available from New Delhi to Honnavar.
By Air: This mode is the fastest way to reach Honnavar from New Delhi. For this, one has to take their first flight to the Chennai International Airport. Then, take a flight to Hubballi Airport. From the Hubballi Airport, one can take any direct private bus or taxi at their convenience.
This whole journey will take around 20 hours. Another option is to reach Mangaluru Airport, then book a cab to Udupi. From there, take a bus to Honnavar. From Mangaluru to Honnavar, it will only take 7.5 hours. Additionally, you can first go to the Goa International Airport, then hire a taxi or take a bus directly to Honnavar. This whole journey from New Delhi will take 30 hours.
By Road: There is good road connectivity in Honnavar, Karnataka from cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, and some others due to Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KRSTC). A number of private and public buses run on a daily basis from Bangalore and Mumbai.
From Bangalore to Honnavar, one can reach there in just 8 hours. Some of the buses provided to reach there are Shree Kumar Travels, Sri Durgamba Travels, Srs Travels, and some others.
By Train: This is the cheapest mode to reach Honnavar from New Delhi. You have to reach Pune Junction by train from New Delhi. Then, after reaching there take a bus or cab direct to Honnavar. This total journey will take around 37 hours.
Honnavar also has a railway station of its own named Honnavar Railway Station. From the cities such as Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, etc. near Honnavar, Karnataka, you can take the direct train to Honnavar Railway Station.
Railways are the best mode of transport to reach Honnavar as it is cheaper and hassle-free. Additionally, it comparatively takes less time when compared to roadways. Furthermore, many trains take a halt at the Honnavar Railway Station itself which saves you money, time, and energy.
