Raghav Juyal is an Indian actor, dancer, choreographer, and television presenter. He is famously known as the “King of Slow Motion” for his amazing dance moves and the flawless reinvention of the Slow Motion Walk in India.

Raghav became popular after emerging as the 2nd runner-up in ‘Dance India Dance 3’, a dance reality show aired on Zee TV in 2012. Later, he went on to become skipper for the team “Raghav Ke Rockstars” in Dance India Dance Li’l Masters 2 and won the Dance Ke Superkids show under his captainship. Also known by the name ‘Crockroaxz’, Raghav has acted in films such as Sonali Cable, ABCD 2, and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

Raghav Juyal Family

Raghav was born on 10 July 1991 in a Garhwali family. The actor’s father Deepak Juyal is an advocate, and his mother Alka Bakshi Juyal is a housewife. Raghav also has a brother Yashasvi Juyal who works as a film director.

Raghav Juyal Relationships

In December 2021, news surfaced that Raghav was in a relationship with Sara Arrhusius, a Swedish intimacy coordinator for over 4 years. However, Raghav later said in an interview that it was all rumors and Sara was just a friend. Later, in May 2023, rumors started doing the rounds that Raghav was dating Shehnaaz Gill, his co-actor in the movie ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. However, the actor, in an interview rubbished all those rumors and clarified that he and Shehnaaz are just good friends.

Raghav did his schooling at Doon International School in Dehradun. Later, the actor joined DAV (PG) College, Dehradun, and completed his Bachelor’s degree in commerce.

Raghav Juyal Controversies

In November 2021, Raghav who was hosting the dance reality show ‘Dance Deewane 3’ introduced a contestant from Assam using words such as ‘chowmein’, ‘gibberish Chinese’, and ‘momo’. It stirred a huge controversy on social media and many including Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma condemned the incident for his racist remarks.

However, Randhir Sinha, father of the contestant later came out in support of Raghav and clarified that the host using those words had nothing to do with his daughter’s belonging to the North East. Later, Raghav rendered an apology for hurting the sentiments unintentionally.

Raghav Juyal Profession

Raghav hails from a middle-class family and his parents were not in favour of their son’s interest in dancing. Thus the little boy used to practise dance by watching shows on television and the internet.

In 2012, Raghav made his entry as a contestant in ‘Dance India Dance 3’, a dance reality show aired on Zee TV. However, the youngster couldn’t make it to the Top 18 in the Mega Audition. Later, based on public demand, Grand Master Mithun Chakraborty reintroduced Raghav to the show as a wild card entry.

At the end of the show, he emerged as the 2nd runner-up which helped the youngster rise to fame. Later, Raghav went on to choreograph several shows such as DID Li’l Masters and Dance Ke Superkids.

In 2014, Raghav made his acting debut with the film ‘Sonali Cable’ along with Rhea Chakraborty and Ali Fazal. The other films in his acting career include Remo D’Souza’s directorial ABCD 2, Nawabzaade, Street Dancer 3D, Bahut Hua Samman, and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which had superstar Salman Khan in the lead role.

Raghav made a comeback to television by hosting ‘Dance Plus’, a dance reality show aired on Star Plus. Apart from television and movies, the dancer also appeared in the music album ‘Hum Tum’ and the web series ‘Abhay 2’.

  • During his school days, Raghav used to play drums in a band. Later, he developed an interest in musical instruments and started playing guitar.
  • In 2018, Raghav took a three-month break from work life and went to his hometown Dehradun. During that time, he collaborated with his friends and came up with a music video, went on treks to unexplored places, and led a cleanliness campaign along with his friends.
  • Raghav has been trained under acting coach Saurabh Sachdeva and also did some plays with him.
