Siddharth On Indian 2: ’10 Times Bigger’ Than The First Film

Actor Siddharth who plays a major role in ‘Indian 2’, one of the most awaited movies of 2023 said in an interview that the film will be 10 times bigger than its prequel. It was during a press conference that the actor opened up his mind. A film by ace director Shankar, Indian 2 has Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan in the lead role and Siddharth also plays an important role in the movie.
Siddharth was introduced to the world of films by Shankar way back in 2023 through ‘Boys’. Indian 2 is also special because Siddharth is joining hands with Shankar after two decades.
It was during the promotion of Takkar, his upcoming movie that Siddharth opened up his mind. According to the actor, he feels that it is a blessing that Shankar introduced him to the world of films.
He said that when the same director who launched him cast him for another project believing in his talent, he was left speechless as Indian 2 is one of the biggest films in the country today. Siddharth stated that if he starts talking about the film, he can go on for at least two months. However, as per the actor, director Shankar has clearly told him not to reveal any details about the film.
Siddharth went on to say that more than him, Indian 2 is about two other stalwarts – Kamal Haasan and Shankar. Toward the end of the conversation, the actor said that it was always his dream to work with Kamal Haasan. Additionally, he guaranteed that the movie will be ten times bigger than anyone could have imagined.
Siddharth’s upcoming film ‘Takkar’ is all set to release on 9th June. Written and directed by Karthik G. Krish Takkar is a romantic action movie. Leading actors such as Divyansha Kaushik and Yogi Babu will be sharing the screenspace along with Siddharth in the film.
Recently Kamal Hassan who is playing the character of Senapathy in Indian 2 had been to Taiwan in connection with its filming. After completing shooting at that location, Kamal had also been to South Africa for the next leg of shooting.
According to director Shankar, the talkie portions of the movie will be completed by June. He also said that the VFX and post-production will begin post-June. Though the release date is yet to be confirmed, its makers are planning for a release on the occasion of a festival.
In the meanwhile, actress Rakul Preet Singh who is the female lead in Indian 2 also opened up about the movie. In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, the actress said that the crew is hoping that the audience will be able to experience the same adrenaline rush offered by the prequel ‘Indian’.
According to her, Indian 2 will be a fantastic film. Rakul also said that both Shankar and Kamal are legendary personalities and it was a great opportunity for her to work with them.
