Rajinikanth And Tamannaah Bhatia’s Jailer Shoot Ends With A Celebration

The shooting of the Tamil movie Jailer which has superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role has come to an end. On the occasion of the wrap-up of the shoot, the entire cast and crew of the film including Rajinikanth, Tamannaah Bhatia, and director Nelson Dilipkumar celebrated grandly by cutting a giant cake.
It was Sun Pictures, the production company of Jailer that shared the official announcement of the completion of the shoot. On 1st June, the production house tweeted “ It’s a wrap for #Jailer! Theatre la sandhippom” (meaning see you in theatres). In their social media post, Sun Pictures also revealed that the movie will be hitting the theatres on August 10th.
Of the three photographs posted on Twitter, a huge cake with the words “Jailer Shoot Wrapped” can be seen. Rajinikanth, clad in a grey color shirt and light brown color pants is seen standing in the front with his thumbs up in the first photo.
The actor is flanked by actress Tamannah flaunting a multicolored sleeveless attire on the left side and director Nelson on the right. In the second photo, Rajini is seen cutting the cake and the entire crew is clapping. In the last picture, the whole team of Jailer is seen posing for the photographs.
In the film, Thalaiva Rajinikanth is playing the character of Muthuvel Pandian, a prison jailer. Last December, on the occasion of the actor’s 72nd birthday, Sun Pictures tweeted the movie’s promo video on Twitter.
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal also appears in a cameo role in the film. Back in February, a photograph had gone viral on the internet where Mohanlal was seen posing with Rajinikanth. The photo was clicked on the sets of Jailer.
Jailer is also special due to the reason that Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff is playing a major role in it. Recently, Jackie completed shooting his portions in Rajasthan. The actor was last seen along with Rajinikanth in the 1987 movie Uttar Dakshin.
Apart from Rajini and Tamannah, Jailer has other leading stars such as Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, and Vinayakan in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, actress Tamannah shared a BTS pic of hers from the shooting location of the film last week. She shared the pic while filming a song sequence and captioned her social media post “Calm before the song.” Tamannah also tagged Director Nelson in her post.
It’s the first time that Rajinikanth is acting in a Nelson-directed movie. Apart from being the director, Nelson has also written the story of Jailer. The director’s debut movie was Kolamaavu Kokila released in 2018 for which he won the Best Screenplay Award in Norway Tamil Film Festival.
On 10 February 2022, Sun Pictures made the official announcement of their next film directed by Nelson with Rajinikanth in the lead role. Later, the movie was named ‘Jailer’. A film produced by Kalanithi Maran, the cinematography of Jailer is done by Vijay Kartik Kannan and its music director is Anirudh Ravichander.
