Triveni Floating Market is located on the Vembanad Lake in the Thookkukulam locality of Paravur town of a small island named Alleppey on the backwaters of the Indian state Kerala. Alleppey is a popular place due to its backwater canals, paddy fields, beaches, and lagoons. 

The Triveni Floating Market remains open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.

Winter Season: Winters in Alleppey last from late October until early February. During this season, the temperature swings from 23° Celsius to 30° Celsius.

Champakulam is situated on the banks of River Pampa in the Alappuzha district of Kerala surrounded by paddy fields and lush greenery all around. This location is well-known for two main reasons.

The best time to visit Alappuzha is during the winter season i.e., between the months of November to February. During these months, the weather is pleasant which makes exploring this place more fun and convenient. It is strictly advised to not visit during the rainy weather i.e., the monsoon season.

How To Reach Alappuzha?

Alappuzha is famous for being the pride of God’s Own Country i.e., Kerala. It is an unexplored hidden beauty of our country which can be visited easily via various modes of transportation such as airways, roadways, or railways.

Airways: Cochin International Airport is the closest airport to Alappuzha which is around a 2 to 2.5-hour drive i.e., approximately 83 km far away.

This airport is connected to major parts of our country. After reaching the airport, one can opt for a local bus or hire a taxi to reach their desired location in Alappuzha. 

Railways: The nearest station for visiting Alappuzha is the Alappuzha Railway Station which is at a distance of 4 kilometers from the main city. But, this station doesn’t provide regular trains.

Another station that can be opted for is the Mararikulam Railway Station i.e., 15 km away. From the station, you can hire a cab, take a local bus, or an auto-rickshaw to reach your hotel. 

Roadways: National Highway 66 runs through Alappuzha making the city quite accessible. Neighboring cities including Coimbatore, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kollam, and Trivandrum are connected via this highway. Both privately owned AC buses and state-run KSRTC buses offer convenient services for travel.
