Eventually, Tushar went on to represent Mumbai in the Under-16 and Under-19 levels. In 2015, when he was about to turn 20, the cricketer played for the Mumbai senior team in a T20 match against Odisha.
A year later, in the 2016-17 season, Tushar got selected for Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy team. On the opening day of the first match against Tamil Nadu, the youngster delivered an incredible performance by taking 4 wickets. In the tournament, he went on to take a total of 21 wickets.
On 19 September 2018, Tushar made his debut for Mumbai at the Vijay Hazare trophy and in the quarter-finals, the youngster achieved his first five-wicket haul in List A cricket. Subsequently, Tushar got a call for the India A series against Sri Lanka and South Africa.
In the 2020 IPL auction, the cricketer was bought by Delhi Capitals for the base price. However, he could play only 5 matches in that season and took 3 wickets. Two years later, at the 2022 IPL auctions, Tushar was bought by Chennai Super Kings.
