Varun Tej Konidela is an Indian actor who works in Telugu movies. Hailing from a film family, Varun made his acting debut as a child artist in the 2000 movie Hands Up! Later, in 2014 he played the lead role in the film Mukunda.

Varun Tej Family
Varun hails from the famous Allu–Konidela family, a film family renowned for their contributions to the Telugu film industry. Born on 19 January 1990, Varun is the son of Nagendra Babu, an actor, and producer in the Telugu film industry.
Varun’s mother’s name is Padmaja Konidela. The actor also has a younger sister Nikharika who is an actress and producer. She is married to Chaitanya Jonnalagadda.
Varun is the nephew of actors Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan. The actor’s cousins include famous actors such as Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Allu Sirish, Sai Tej, and Panja Vaisshnav Tej.
Relationship
Varun is reportedly in a relationship with Telugu actress Lavanya Tripathi since 2017. However, both of them have always stated that they are just good friends. Lavanya has been Varun’s co-star in movies such as Mister and Antariksham. She is a close friend of Varun’s sister
As per the latest news reports, Varun will be getting engaged to Lavanya Tripathi on June 9th, 2023. It will be an intimate function attended only by close family members.
All the members of the Konidela family, including Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Upasana Konidela, Sai Dharam Tej, Allu Sirish, Sreeja Konidela, and Sushmita Konidela will be attending the lavish engagement. Telugu superstar Allu Arjun and his family are also expected to be present at the engagement function.
Though the dates are yet to be finalized, reportedly their wedding will also take place shortly.

Varun did his schooling at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Later he joined St. Mary’s College, Hyderabad, and completed his Bachelors of Commerce degree in Computers.
Controversies
Actress Sri Reddy is famous for her fight against the alleged casting couch in the Telugu film industry. In 2018, superstar Pawan Kalyan commented that rather than taking the matter to television channels, Sri Reddy should approach the court for justice.
Subsequently, Sri Reddy came out in public and stated that a person like Pawan Kalyan who has married thrice has no right to give her suggestions. She also passed derogatory comments against the actor.
Subsequently, Varun Tej, the nephew of Pawan posted a cryptic tweet taking a dig at Sri Reddy indirectly. He urged never to be bothered by hypocrites or judgemental people criticizing and putting one down.
The tweet also says that such people are too shallow to recognize their weaknesses. The actor concludes his social media post with the statement that It’s easier for those persons to try to make others feel bad instead of looking in the mirror at their pathetic behavior.
Varun Tej Profession
At the early age of 10, Varun appeared as a child artist in the film Hands Up! Directed by Siva Nageswara Rao, Varun’s dad also acted in the movie.
Later, in 2014, Varun made a comeback in the lead role with Mukunda, directed by Srikanth Addala. The film flopped at the box office and it was followed by three other movies of the actor which also failed to make an impact among the audience.
In 2015, Varun acted in Kanche, a Krish movie, and the actor received critical acclaim for his performance.
The actor rose to fame with the release of Fidaa, a 2017 romantic film where he was cast opposite Sai Pallavi. The movie won rave reviews and turned out to be a super hit at the box office.
In 2018, Varun acted in Tholi Prema, directed by debutant director Venky Atluri. In the same year, he worked in the space thriller Antariksham 9000 KMPH, directed by Sankalp Reddy. It was followed by Gaddalakonda Ganesh and F2 in 2019. In 2022, Varun acted in F3, the sequel to F2.

- When Varun acted in the film Gaddalakonda Ganesh, its director Harish Shankar wanted him to put on weight. Varun laughingly says that he did not stop with a few kilograms.
- It was Varun who made all the arrangements for his sister Niharika’s wedding at Udaivilas Palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Later, actor Allu Arjun posted on Instagram that he is so proud of his brother for doing his sister’s wedding in the best way possible.
- Varun says that he doesn’t enjoy watching romantic movies.
- For the movie Ghani, Varun learned boxing in the US. The actor says that he always wanted to go on a solo trip to the US and took that as an opportunity. For 45 days, Varun got trained in the basics of boxing under Tony Jeffries, the bronze medal winner in the 2008 Summer Olympics.
