Alia Bhatt Heads To The Met Gala, Beaming As She Departs The Airport

Bollywood actress Alia Bhat who is all set to make her debut at the Met Gala 2023 event in New York was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Monday night. The paparazzi clicked a smiling Alia outside the departure gates when she was stepping out of the car. Flaunting a no-makeup look, the actress obliged to pose for selfies with fans and was also seen waving before heading inside.
Alia looked super cool in a chic beige jacket paired with a white tank top and printed joggers. The actress’s cropped jacket featuring a collared neckline had an open front with button closures. The jacket with full-length sleeves and an asymmetric hem had a baggy fitting as well.
The gorgeous Alia teamed it up with a white tank top that featured a deep U neckline, fitted silhouette, and a short hem length. Last but not least, brown and beige-printed joggers from Gucci X Adidas completed the stunning look of the actress.
Their accessories of Alia included a large black book tote bag and chunky white lace-up sneakers. With her wavy hair left open, dewy skin, and blush pink lip shade, the actress grabbed the attention of the onlookers.
Popularly known as “fashion’s biggest night out,” the Met Gala 2023 will be held on May 1st, 2023 in New York. The theme of the 2023 event will be ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’ to honor Karl Lagerfeld, the legendary German fashion designer who used to attend the event regularly at The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute.
Alia will be walking the red carpet at the Met Gala for the first time in a Prabal Gurung gown. In the past, Bollywood actresses such as Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have also walked the red carpet at the prestigious event.
The latest news is that Priyanka Chopra will also be attending the event this year. While commenting on her appearance at the event, the actress said that ‘it will be on the theme’.
At the 68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards function held last Thursday, Alia Bhatt won the Best Actress award for her incredible performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi, a biopic directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Before delivering her speech at the event, the actress became emotional and went blank for a few moments.
Later, while speaking the actress said that she was blanking out as it took two years for them to make this film. Alia went on to say that when Sanjay narrated the movie’s script for the first time, she was very scared and told him that she didn’t think she would be able to do the movie. However, Sanjay told her that she will be doing the movie.
Ali also expressed gratitude to the director and said that whatever she has done in Gangubai Kathiawadi is only because of him. The actress also said that she will be indebted to Sanjay forever and that their journey has just begun.
