At The 2023 Cannes Film Festival, Vignesh Shivan Met Spider-man Actor Tobey Maguire

Tamil director-producer Vignesh Shivan met Spiderman fame actor Tobey Maguire at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. The other day, Vignesh, on his Instagram handle shared a photograph of him posing with the American actor at the premiere of ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’, a crime drama movie directed by Martin Scorsese.

The Tamil director’s social media post had the caption “ With Your friendly neighborhood #SpiderMan at the world premiere of #killersoftheflowermoon @festivaldecannes @mdf_cannes #cannes”. Vignesh is a regular at the Cannes film festival.

In the photograph, Vignesh and Tobey were seen wearing white shirts and black blazers. The Spiderman actor was also flaunting a matching black bowtie. Vignesh shared the same photograph on his Instagram story as well.

Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap who was also present at the Cannes Film Festival took a photograph along with Vignesh and Tamil director-actor Pradeep Ranganathan. While sharing the picture of the three of them on his Instagram handle, Anurag wrote that somehow he and Vignesh meet every time at Cannes.

He also mentioned that this time they were joined by wonder kid Pradeep who is on his first visit to Cannes. The director ended his Instagram post with the words ‘Watching, talking and eating cinema’. Vignesh later shared Anurag’s post on his Instagram story with the caption “With the genius”.

Vignesh has directed several Tamil movies such as Podaa Podi, Naanum Rowdydhaan, and Thaanaa Serndha Koottam. On October 9th, 2022, Vignesh and his actress wife Nayanthara had become parents of twin babies through surrogacy.

It was just four months after their wedding that the star couple welcomed the twins. Later, in an interview, Vignesh said that the feeling is yet to sink in that he has become a dad. He went on to add that he is having all the fun and happiness with them and spending as much time as possible along with his babies.

The Cannes film festival is currently underway from 16 to 27 May 2023. The inaugural movie at the festival was Jeanne du Barry, directed by Maïwenn and the event would come to an end with the film ‘ Elemental’ directed by Peter Sohn.

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan grabbed the attention of onlookers by walking the Cannes red carpet in an opulent gown from Sophie Couture. The actress looked gorgeous in a glittering silver gown with lightweight aluminum details. The other elements that deserve a special mention include a long flared trail and an attached hood. Aishwarya shared the photos of her Cannes look on her Instagram handle.

Leading Bollywood actors such as Sara Ali Khan, Mrunal Thakur, Esha Gupta, and Manushi Chillar made their debut at the 76th edition of the Cannes this year. The other celebrities who walked the red carpet include Diana Penty and Urvashi Rautela.

Apart from actors, Aman Gupta, the founder of boAt became the first Indian entrepreneur to walk the red carpet at the Cannes. Aman was accompanied by his wife Priya Dagar at the event.
