Jagmandir

Jagmandir is a palace constructed on an island on Lake Pichola. Also named ‘Lake Garden Palace, the build for this began in 1620 and was completed nearly 1652. Captivatingly, Prince Khurram – later Emperor Shah Jahan – was provided shelter here when he campaigned against his father Emperor Jahangir.

Lake Pichola

If this is your primary visit to the City of Lakes, then visiting the Vintage & Classic Car Collection – a museum of vintage vehicles – is a must. Contained in the former Mewar State Motor Garage, the museum displays luxury vintage wheels like the 1934 Rolls-Royce Phantom II that was later transformed into a pick-up truck used throughout royal hunts, and another 1934 Rolls-Royce that was transformed to transport the complete Mewar royal cricket team.

Jagdish Temple

Eklingji Temple

Best Time To Visit Udaipur

For international tourists, the Jaipur International Airport is the best choice for air travel. You can reach Jaipur and then take a linked flight or merely reach Udaipur by road.

By Rail

You can effortlessly get direct trains to Udaipur from any part of Rajasthan. The railway station is also visited by luxury trains such as Maharaja Express and Palace on Wheels.

By Road

To reach Udaipur from Jaipur, you can travel via the NH48 highway. Otherwise, you can also travel from Jodhpur via the RJ SH 67, NH62, and NH58 to reach Udaipur.
