This is a revered memorial for the martyrs from World War I & Afghanistan war. Red Fort 

Red Fort is considered the face of the Indian Capital and is one of the very famous tourist places in Delhi; that was built way back in the year 1638. This is a very famous and illustrious Mughal monument that is built with sandstone & displays the best imposing walls, chhata bazaar, marvelous architecture, sound and light show, etc. that look very attractive.

Humayun’s Tomb 

Humayun’s Tomb is declared to be a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This monument displayed gorgeous and intricate artwork and was commissioned by Humayun’s wife, Hamida Banu Begum. This monument was built way back in 1570 and showcased some of the clear influences of Central Asian and Persian architectural styles.

Waste To Wonder Park

This destination is the latest addition to Delhi’s top tourist attractions list. The Waste to Wonder Park features beautiful replicas of the iconic Seven Wonders of the World and is created from several kinds of waste, mainly industrial waste.

This is a theme park that is one of a kind. This place is near Nizamuddin Metro Station and was inaugurated at Rajiv Gandhi Smriti Van.

Timings of visit: The Best Time to visit is in the evening

Cost per person: Free entry for toddlers under three years & senior citizens above 65 years, Rs. 50 per head for people from 13 to 64 years and Rs. 25 for children from 4 to 12 years. 

Chandni Chowk 

Chandni Chowk is one of the oldest and very famous tourist places in Delhi that you cannot afford to miss if you are in Delhi. The narrow lanes of the time-tested space in Delhi are very vibrant. You can visit this place to shop for some of the most authentic and traditional Indian products.

Timings of visit: The shops in this market remain open from 8.00 am to 7 pm, and the market remains closed every Monday.

Jama Masjid 

Jama Masjid is among the most amazing tourist places in Delhi and is well-known for its architectural excellence, and is the biggest mosque in India. With a huge capacity of holding up to 25,000 people in one go, this mosque is counted as one of the first creations of Shah Jahan.

Cost per person: Free entry, but it is chargeable for photography inside the premises. The charges for clicking photos inside the mosque are approximately Rs 200 to 400. 

Bahai (Lotus) Temple 

Bahai (Lotus) Temple is a great example of secularism. Bahai Temple is also popularly referred to as the Lotus Temple. This symbolizes the unity of four major religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Jainism.

Rashtrapati Bhawan

Rashtrapati Bhawan is the residence of the President of India. This is counted amongst one of the best sightseeing places & a very popular tourist destination within Delhi. Rashtrapati Bhawan is spread over a huge area of 200,000 square feet with 340 rooms.

Connaught Place

Connaught Place is referred to as the shoppers’ heaven and is counted among one of the most popular tourist places in Delhi. This place is known for its unique concentric circles, grand designs & numerous boutique shops and restaurants, and flea markets like Palika Bazaar and Janpath. Connaught Place is one of the most recommended places to visit in Delhi, as various options are available.

Rajghat, located in Delhi, is the site of the cremation of Mahatma Gandhi. He is revered & fondly remembered as the Father of Nation. This memorial is located between the Main Ring road & the banks of the Yamuna River.


This place lies in the southeastern direction of Red Fort. There are deep green lawns & fountains in Rajghat and is surrounded by lovely and serene wooden areas with many exotic trees that create a peaceful & pleasant ambiance.

Lodhi Gardens 

This is one of the historical tombs that date back to the fifteenth century. This place has skillfully cropped gardens & some picturesque locations, making it a great photography destination. This is one of the must-visit places for sightseeing in Delhi.
