The IIFA Awards Postponed From February To May 2023

IIFA, one of the biggest awards in Bollywood is much awaited by everyone. People from around the nation set their reminders and make sure that they don’t miss the telecast. But this year, IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) Awards have been postponed.
This 23rd edition of the awards is shot in Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island and they would be shown in May 2023 instead of February. Here is all the information you require for the awards.
This 2-day event would now take place on the 26th and 27th of May 2023. IIFA is a grand celebration of the talent of our Bollywood industry where international media, global dignitaries, movie buffs, and fans are brought together. Everyone around the world is welcome here and it gives immense opportunities to film production, business and trade, and tourism.
The nominations for all the categories were announced earlier in December and were set to take place in February.
Sharing this news with the world, the official page of IFFA took to its Instagram account and said that this grand celebration of Indian cinema is now rescheduled with IIFA and everyone is requested to be a part of this cinematic magic. It is organized in Yas Islands, Abu Dhabi this year, and your summer of 2023 would definitely be grand.
Earlier, the dates were set for the 9th, 10th, and 11th of February and everyone had already set their alarms.

When the nominations were announced last December, the leading performers of the year were Darlings, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and Gangubai Kathiawadi. Three out of the four movies have Alia Bhatt as the main lead and this truly indicates her power over the industry. She has been a voice for females in Bollywood and her movies have proved that rightly.
12 popular category awards were announced in December, including best motion picture, best actress, best actor, best director, best-supporting role (male), best-supporting role (female), best music direction, best playback singer (male and female), best original story, best-adapted story, and best lyrics.
All four movies that are on the front runners impressed the audience in 2022 and made huge numbers at the box office. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is one of the movies that emerged as the true winner because Kartik Aaryan stole the show amazingly! Along with these four blockbusters, Badhaai Do, Chup, The Kashmir Files, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, Vikram Vedha, Dhrishyam 2, Gehraiyaan, and Bhediya are also in the race for different categories. Fans have already voted for their favorites and now we can’t wait to see who wins!
Along with the amazing award ceremony, this annual occasion is also graced by powerful performances by Bollywood stars. The Awards are produced by Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and are co-sponsored by several companies every year. Each household in India is glued to the television this time of the year. There is just a slight delay in that celebration this year.
