In 1994, Nilambur Teak Museum was established and it is the first wood museum in the country which is the perfect spot for history lovers and for those who like to gather information about wood. In Nilambur Teak Museum, you will see a diverse variety of teak and to view the artifacts of this amazing museum you can visit this museum anytime between 10 am to 5 pm.

Bharathapuzha River

In addition, Pazhayangadi Mosque was built 500 years ago. The Mosque was constructed in memory of Mohammed Shah.

He is a true supporter of Islam popularly as Kondotti Thangal. In white marble, Pazhayangadi Mosque was built and following the traditional Mughal architecture and sculpture, this monument is devoted to Kondotti Thangal. This beautiful mosque has a white large dome that rises like an encouragement among the lush greenery surroundings.

Mamburam is a prime pilgrim sport as freedom fighter Mamburam sayyid Alavi Thangal quabaristan (grave) is located here. This place can be visited by both Muslims as well as non-muslims. It houses shrines devoted to the ancestors of primary Thangals.

Thangals held protuberant significance amongst the locals and therefore the monument was later established here to commemorate them for the forthcoming generations.

Thirunavaya Temple is one of the ancient temples in Malappuram, Kerala that is built on the bank of the Bharatapuzzha River. Thirunavaya Temple is devoted to Narayana Vishnu. One of the popular rituals functioning at this temple is for the deceased family member to revive from the cycle of birth and death.

  • By Air: The airport closest to Malappuram is Calicut International Airport which is situated at a distance of nearly 25 km from the heart of Malappuram.
