However, three years after their wedding, in 2018, Madhu and Masaba announced that they were parting ways. A year later, in September 2019, the couple officially got divorced. Commenting on the divorce, Masaba later said in an interview that her divorce wasn’t a very painful separation, but a very cordial and mutual one.
In 2020, on the sets of the web series ‘Masaba Masaba’, Masaba met Bollywood actor Satyadeep Mishra. After dating for three years, the couple got married in January 2023 in an intimate wedding ceremony.

Controversies
Masaba once disclosed that due to her dark skin tone, she had to deal with racist taunts and bullying as a young girl at school. She recollected those painful times when boys at her tennis class used to open her bag and toss her underwear around.
They even used to make fun of the size of her shorts and ridiculed her stating that the inside of her pants was black due to her dark skin color.
They also used to insult Masaba as she was an illegitimate child. Masaba went on to add that she could never outgrow those racist comments and bullying.

When Masaba was a student at SNDT, Mumbai, she came up with a collection of seven garments for the fashion design graduation show. Her designs stood out from the rest and Wendell Rodricks, the leading fashion designer noticed her talent.
Thus, with his support, the 19-year-old Masaba debuted in Lakme Fashion Week 2009 under the Gen Next category. She went a step ahead and instead of opting for an internship with another designer, Masaba set up her fashion label ‘House of Masaba’.
Since then Masaba has never looked back and has grown to be one of the top fashion designers in India. Apart from garments, ‘House of Masaba’ has also forayed into beauty, fashion jewelry, accessories, swimwear, menswear, and several other segments.
