Papikondalu A Complete Travel Guide In 2023!

Papikondalu is a hill station in the south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Along this particular mountain range, we can also spot the river of Godavari. This river and mountain range combination makes the entire region and surroundings quite picturesque attracting a bunch of nature lovers from all over the country. It is the western side of Godavari that can be seen in the region of the Papikondalu mountain range.

The exact location of this particular hill station comes on the Rajahmundry side of the state of Andhra Pradesh. If you would like to spend some time in tranquillity and the goodness of nature, a trip to the Papikondalu side would satisfy you in every possible aspect. The combined view of the river of Godavari and the mountain range is often said to have a resemblance with the middle partition done in a woman’s hair.

Papidi Kondalu was the former name of this partition, the mountain ranges can be seen narrowed and in some portions, the river Godavari assumes the narrower form. This exchange of breadth between the mountain and the river gifts the most magnificent visuals for the tourists visiting the location.

Several tourists are also seen comparing this particular hill station side of the state of Andhra Pradesh to the paradigm beauty of the landscape of Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from nature and the breathtaking visuals it offers, the biodiversity splendidness the place owns is also worthwhile to mention. However, all the richness is indebted to the lush green landscape and the nature present in the region.

Moreover, you can also spend some time playing in the waterfalls found in the surroundings of the place. Such places are often chosen for nature photography and also for spending some quality time with nature. Groups of tourists also prefer such locations to indulge in some engaging activities.

Location

The entry gate to the region of Papikondalu can be spotted in the district of Eluru in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The district of Eluru is also known as Koruturu. Rajahmundry is the region in which the hills are located in the district. From the center of East Godavari, you need to travel by road around 35km to reach the destination of Papikondalu.

Climatic Conditions

Climatic conditions in the Papikondalu region are comparatively tolerable considering the other tropical states in the territory of India. However, the summer months are found to have an extreme level of humidity in the air. The temperature during these months is also quite higher. The monsoon months on the other hand come with heavy rainfall measurements making the lush green around the Papikondalu even richer and fresher. The winter months experienced in the region are quite pleasant and refreshing with the perfect balance of sunshine and moisture. During these months a greater tourist crowd is found in the region, especially near the waterfalls side of the place.

Tourist Attractions / Things to Do
