Dibru Saikhowa National Park 

For those who are still passionate about the unique wildlife and biodiversity in the town of Tinsukia, Dibru Saikhowa National Park would be a great choice to include in their itinerary.

This national park is spread over a total of two different district territories in the state of Assam; Dibrugarh and Tinsukia. It was in the year 1997 that this particular biosphere reserve got established in the state.

It is also included in the list of IUCN Category II National Parks. Feral Horses and Wild Water Buffalos are some of the celebrity species found in this national park. 

Dehing Patkai Wildlife Sanctuary 

This wildlife sanctuary is also situated in the territories of the districts; Tinsukia and Dibrugarh. It was during the year 2004 that this area got the designation of a wildlife sanctuary.

But now it is not a wildlife sanctuary anymore since its designation got changed into a national park by the interference of the Government of Assam. This rainforest is loved by nature enthusiasts visiting the state of Assam. You can also see a lot of Asian Elephants preserved here. 

Bhupen Hazarika Setu – Dhola Sadiya Bridge 

Bhupen Hazarika Setu is the official name of the popular tourist attraction; the Dhola Sadiya Bridge. This particular beam bridge is also a connection between the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

This bridge is built across the Lohit River, which is one of the major tributaries of the significant Indian river, Brahmaputra. It was during the year 2017 that this particular bridge got opened to the public.

Currently, this bridge has got the title of being the longest bridge over water in India. 1000 Cr INR is the construction cost of this bridge. 

Tilinga Mandir Temple 

This is an ideal pilgrim destination for the believers of Hinduism visiting the town of Tinsukia in the state of Assam. Hindu God Lord Shiva is worshipped as the main deity in the shrine of this particular temple.

Bell Temple is the other name attributed to this Shiva Temple in the territory of the city of Tinsukia. From the city centre of Tinsukia, you need to travel to the region called Bordubi in order to reach the destination of the temple.

Na-Pukhuri 

This is one of the landmark tourist attractions you can visit in the town of Tinsukia. You can see a total of 9 lakes by visiting a single region in the town. This place is also important concerning the historical side of the city of Tinsukia.

The central tank located in the region is also an important thing to explore while visiting Na-Pukhuri in the town of Tinsukia. 

Bherjan-Borjan-Padumoni Wildlife Sanctuary 

Again it is one of the most important and crowded tourist attractions in the town of Tinsukia in the state of Assam. This is a protected forest area and hence there are a lot of restricted areas in this particular wildlife sanctuary.

Rukmini Island 

Rukmini Island is another important tourist destination perfect for nature lovers and biodiversity enthusiasts. You can also get close to the habitats and biodiversity associated with the river of Brahmaputra and its tributaries by visiting this particular island since it is located in the same river.

Doomdooma 

This is an urban area in the town of Tinsukia. You can add this region to your Tinsukia itinerary if you would like to explore the tea gardens and the industry associated with them.
