This makes this region a popular destination for sightseers. The primary activity in this place is boating. Viewing the scenery from here attracts people of all ages. The tranquillity and natural beauty of Pungannoor Lake Park make it an unforgettable experience.

It’s possible to find both cheap and luxurious hotels in the area. Instead of booking a boat tour, most guests choose to take a walk from their hotel to the lake. The park has a nominal admission fee that everyone must pay.

Only 14 kilometers separate you from Tirupattur and the falls. Tourists see the breathtaking waterfall created when the famous Attaru River plunges to the earth after winding through the towering Yelagiri Hills.

Many visitors walk or climb roughly 5 kilometers downhill from Yelagiri to reach the waterfalls. A direct road from Yelagiri to the falls does exist; however, it is often closed for security reasons.

You could get to the plains by descending the hill, but you’d have to make another journey up the opposite side of the mountain to achieve your destination. Though it could take an hour to get there, the journey is well worth it.

4. Telecommunications And Observational Services At The Observatory

The Vainu Bappu Observatory, commonly known as the Telescope Observatory, is one of the most famous sights in Yelagiri. Observing the movement of the planets and stars from this vantage point may provide breathtaking insight into the mysteries of their solar system.
