PM Modi Will Flag Off The World's Longest River Cruise On January 13!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done so much for the country that we’ve lost count of his achievement. Right from passing the construction of Ram Mandir to getting the Statue of Unity built in Gujarat, he has transformed the face of the country. Now Mr. Modi is all set to flag off the longest river cruise of the world on 13th January 2023 and here are all the updates –

Ganga Vilas Epic, as the name of the voyage, would begin from Varanasi and go to Dibrugarh.

A meeting took place last Monday where Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Mr. Adityanath Yogi said that all the officials of the state have begun to prepare for the journey and that it would be completed in due time. Till would be the longest cruise in the world and it has begun under the constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has taken every step to make India a self-dependent and developed nation.

As per the latest reports, this cruise from Varanasi would travel from Kashi and end at Dibrugarh. It will pass through Assam by crossing Bangladesh, Kolkata, and Patna. Its distance would be approximately 3200 km and once begins on January 13, it would reach the destination on 1st March. It would be a long journey of 48 days.

The cruise would be attended by 32 Swiss nationals and it is something that we all want to witness! Ganga Vilas Epic would cover around 27 river systems including the West Coast Canal, Brahmaputra, Ganga, Bhagirathi, and Hooghly.

PM Modi Will Flag Off The World's Longest River Cruise On January 13!

Talking about this cruise that the entire nation would see, Mr. Narendra Modi said that it would be unique and showcase how this cruise tourism in India has grown. Not to miss, the cruise will give you a site of some of the best heritage sites of India. This includes Aarti in the mandir of Varanasi, Sundarbans Delta, and Kaziranga National Park.

It is evident that the central government of India is tremendously focusing on the maintenance as well as the development of the inland waterways. The officials are working on several projects to set up the required navigation facilities, increase the depth, and set up the jetties. This would ensure that both the cargo vessels and passengers are safe and successfully cross the journey.

Sarbananda Sonowal, the Waterways and Shipping Minister of India recently talked about this new project. He said that river and coastal shipping such as cruise services would always be their number one priority. Regarding this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji has said that the central government has taken it upon itself to develop approximately 100 national waterways. Their main target is to see the longest water cruise in the world running across these waterways.

This step is commendable, both from the country’s development and tourism perspective. Narendra Modi Ji hasn’t left any stone unturned to make India one of the best nations in the world.
