A tribal treasure in the western side of India, in the union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The Portuguese rule experienced by the town during colonial times makes the place a culturally different tourist destination in contemporary times. The major objective of the tourists flocking to the city is to visit the Tribal Cultural Museum. Picturesque landscapes, vibrant wildlife, and thick forests are also significant about the city.

It is the proximity of the Western Ghats that causes the environmental priority of the town. The Silvassa cuisine including their famous dish of Ubadiyu can definitely be a compelling element for food explorers to visit the town. Silvassa also serves tax-free alcohol to tourists and it is also the only place where you can access alcoholic beverages nearby the dry state of Gujarat.

1. Dudhni Lake

Dudhni’s tourism significance was not established in history. It has got a slow and steady evolution to be the travelers’ favorite in the town of Silvassa. When the dam of Madhuban has been constructed on the Daman Ganga, Dudhani got a waterfront in it, which was transformed into a location to offer water sports activities for the tourists visiting the place. Domestic tourists from Mumbai, Valsad, Vapi, and Surat are mostly found here during the weekends to enjoy sports.

5. Vanganga Lake Garden 

Though named as a garden, the location seems like a forest owing to its vast area. The impressive beauty of the garden is also attributed to the lake that flows through it. Bridges constructed in a Japanese style are prominent in the garden. The accessibility of the main garden is through the central island and a signature art bridge paves the way to it.

6. Hirwa Van Gardens

If you are a biodiversity enthusiast, Silvassa welcomes you to the Hirwa Van Gardens. A thousand varieties of rare plant species are grown and preserved in the garden. The garden has also got religious significance since it is dedicated to Hirwa, a god of the natives and upon whom the garden has been named.

The flower varieties seen in the park are mind-blowing with the color feasts they offer. 7. Bal Udyan park

This park is something exclusive to get your kids to enjoy the max in the Silvassa vacation. Apart from the usual rides and swings that are meant for kids, here the park amenities are set in a way that your child can enjoy a playful time by closely interacting with nature and its elements.

This can also be your location for a calming picnic, ideal for groups of family. The aquarium set inside the park is something extra that you will get by visiting the park. 8. Swaminarayan temple

This can be more of a tourist destination than a pilgrimage spot in Silvassa. The architectural brilliance of the temple complex can be a treat for your eyes in every sense. Silvassa vacation can give you the best pictures from this location.

Regardless of religions and communal faiths, tourists and natives visit the picturesque location of the temple and quench their thirst for art. The carvings on the temple buildings and pillars are exotic and extremely aesthetic. The temple has also got a garden and spacious surroundings to relax and click photos. 

9. Water Sports Complex

The complex is located in Khanvel, Silvassa. The waterfront where the sports are arranged is situated amidst the magnificence of Western Ghats’ forests and mountains enhancing the experience in the complex. A lot many adventure enthusiasts and friend groups visiting Silvassa are seen hanging out in the complex to make the most out of their vacation.

After a full day of water sports and adventures, you can enjoy tent camping nearby the lake set by the tourism department of the government. Water scooters and speed boats are the tourists’ favorites of the water complex. 

10. Deer Park 

Varieties of deer species are preserved in their natural habitat in the park. Nilgai, Chinkara, Blackbucks, and dotted deer are among them. Private jeeps offer services for a safari in the park if you are a group of seven people or even if you can organize a seven-people group from the park.

There are provisions for small snacks and drinks in the park. Other than deer, antelopes, peacocks, Thrushes, and Flameback Woodpeckers are also found in the park. The park is also a mini-wildlife sanctuary. The location of the park is near the Vasona Lion Safari Park. A viewpoint is also available in the park, on its watch tower to enjoy a 360-degree view of the park and the Madhuban dam nearby.
